I'm about to buy my first RDA and I'm curious which to buy between these two. I feel like they'd be the best suited for me in terms of what I'm looking for. I also plan on buying a bunch of clones to mess with from fasttech, like the Patriot, Trident and any others that I can find simply because they're so cheap and I can get an idea of which I'd want to buy as an original and spend the money for. But for now, while waiting the month or 2 for fasttech, I plan on buying an IGO. I was originally looking at an IGO-L because I'm going to be building single coil setups, but I read that it had a few issues that were resolved in the IGO-W which brought me to that. I've also read that the IGO-W5 is just an improved model of the IGO-W in that it has deeper wells for juice and slightly larger stock air holes. Is that the only difference?

I don't mind spending the $30 on the IGO-W5 instead of the $18~ for the IGO-W, but I'm curious as to what the real differences are. Also, these are originals right? They're actually made out of stainless steel so I don't have to worry about rust issues when cleaning? I read that the clones I'll be buying from fasttech are just plated stainless steel or something and will rust when I clean them which is a bit of a bummer.

I'm not sure whether this is relevant, but I'll be building coils at roughly 1.2-1.6ohms on these. I don't plan to subohm anytime soon or use a mechanical mod. It'll be used on either my Provari v2.5 or my MVP. Who knows, maybe I'll want a mechanical mod 20 minutes after building my own coil.

So, what's your thoughts on these?

I'll help you lol

Well the igo w5 has said to have zero voltage drop. Besides the deeper juice well that's a big deal. Is it true? Idk, haven't picked one up yet. However, I do own all of the variants of the igo w and honestly they are my favorite atty's. As far as clones go. They seem to me to be the best quality built.

If it helps keeping cost down (You and I are a lot alike) go ahead and pick up an igo w5 from ebay for around 25$.

I used, and use clones when I first started to get the hang of it. I've broke my fair share of clones from over tightened screws, etc... Thank goodness i'm only out 10-20$ rather then 100+ :p

Hope this helps

"Zero voltage drop"

First off, that is not possible. Second, the voltage drop in any RDA is so insignificant that it does not matter. The biggest portion of this tiny fraction of the overall voltage drop is the connection between the posts and the resistance wire. This is nothing more than marketing, nothing to be swayed by. Waiting for the Youde thugs to show up at my door...

That said, the W5 looks pretty nice. It is 22mm, has taller walls around the deck, and comes stock with bigger air holes. This is definitely a worthy successor to the original W. The W4 is basically the same thing as the W, just a different shaped cap and ever-so-slightly larger air holes.

If you can, I'd wait until the price goes down a bit. The W and W4 can be found for $10-12 in the US, so I suspect that once more vendors have the W5, they will drop the price to $20 or lower. If the $10 or so doesn't matter to you, I'd say the W5 would be a great option for a simple dual coil RDA.
