IGO W with a problem

I recently received an IGO W and it's been laying around for several days. But tonight I'd thought I'd build it. Ran into trouble right away since one of the negative posts pretty much spins freely. I thought maybe taking a pair of long-nose to it would tighten it up. Didn't work. But these posts aren't threaded, are they? Is there any way to fix a loose negative post?

I'm pretty sure they are press-fit posts. There has been discussion on this forum regarding how to fix similarly loose posts...no consensus and no real solid ideas from what I remember. I'd get in touch with where you bought the thing and see if they'd be willing to exchange it for one that's not broken.
