Hello all. I got lucky and won a Poldiac mech mod over the weekend. I'm getting my buddy to give me his Igo-w he's not using anymore. My question is if I'm used to using 1.3ohm coils on my kayfun, could I make two more coils like that to use on the Igo? I figure that would put me at .6 or.7 ohm collectively. That would be a good start. Thanks for your help!!!

A few questions for you.

1. Have you read up on battery safety?
2. Are you familiar with Ohms Law and understand how continuous Amp draw fits into the whole equation?
3. Do you own a quality charger and an ohm reader or DMM (and know how to use it)?

If you can't answer yes to all three of these questions you need to do a lot of reading BEFORE you start rebuilding and using a mech mod.

What type of batteries are you using (brand, mah, amp draw)?

I'll echo what Susan~S said.

You can make two 1.3 ohm coils to make an overall resistance of 0.6 ohms. However, always check your overall resistance with an ohm reader before firing the coils. Checking resistance is a necessity.

I build coils to 0.6 ohms routinely. You can use a 10 amp continuous battery at this resistance, but that is getting a little close to their amp limit. You'll get better performance and longer use with a battery if you use a battery with a minimum amp rating of 20 amps continuous with 2500 mah capacity.

I appreciate everyones safety advice. that's why I love this forum so much. I am using an efest 2100 30amp high drain battery with a poldiac clone and have done extensie research. im not trying to win a cloud contest, but rather moving to the next step from vv\vw I have made quite a few different combos of builds. I have all the equiptment to check my work and am well versed in ohms law. I have settled on a .5 build. great taste not too hot
