Hello !

I received my ohm meter so i started building a quad coil on the igo-w3.
Took me some time but it worked...kinda
The problem is the coils doesn't glow much.
I didn't want to be too low so i did like 3ohms per coil using kanthal 30ga.
It's firing ok but heating very very slowly...
I'm sorry i didn't take a pic of it powered up, but trust me, it's like the battery is empty.

I'm not a pro-vaper but not a total noob either. I've been using the fogger and the kraken for 3 months now.
I got a lot of batteries, aw 18650 2000 and 1600mah, efest 2000 and 1600mah. I always stay within the safe range for the coil/battery combo.
And i triple check my coils (ohm meter, vamo and multimeter : btw i think the e-cig ohm meter is showing higher number than what it actually is).

Any help will be apreciated, thx :)

If I understand you are using a Vamo to fire this? If so Vamo can only fire 1.2 ohms or higher. Now for a quad coil you need more than 3 ohms per coil as it would be 3/4 or .75 ohms final. So based on your reading you have each coil is about 3.56 ohms each. So if I'm correct to get a 1.5 ohm final resistance you would need 4 - 6ohms.

What are the discharge rates on the batteries? I would think most are above 10A. Calculating 4.2V and .89ohms, you get 4.7A, or about 20 watts. I've got a W3 on the way so I'm trying to look into problems I'll likely run into. Very interested in seeing this sorted out for you. Out of curiosity, have you measures from the center post to the other end of each coil with you voltmeter, to make sure they are all the same resistance?

The 18650 2000mah are 10amps
The 1600mah are 24amps for the AW and 30amps for the efest.
I did not mesure from the center post to each negative post, since all negative posts are connected together, i assumed the reading would be false. I just mounted them 1 at a time and mesure between the center of the 510 thread and the threads themselves.
I redid the build from scratch, 2,8ohms each coil, 0,7ohm total.
28ga kanthal.
