So I've been tinkering for a few hours now and I finally got a neat build on my Igo w6. I've run it vertical (only option I see) with 4 coils, coming out at .5 ohms. Chucked it on my Nemesis clone, gave it a drag and wow. This is the first quad coil I've built, or even any build I've done, that has seriously blown my mind. It chucked out so much vapor I almost (but didn't) coughed a lung.

So, two questions. One, is it normal to find the quad coil such an insane step up from dual coils and two, any recommendations for improving wicking. I'm using cotton, running it through super tight coils, 1.2 mm I'd guess. Sucks through the juice like crazy.

Thanks

Pretty much yes. :D

I would have to first ask what the problem is that you want to improve. Are you getting dry hits intermittently with plenty of juice still on the wicks? Then I'd say that you are possibly using too much cotton.

Remember, cotton swells as it absorbs liquid. If too much cotton is used, it will somewhat choke off liquid to the center of the coil, causing localized dry spots.

You want enough cotton so that it will drag just a little when you put it through the coil. If you have to work to get it in, you're using too much. If it slips through effortlessly, it's a little on the light side.

Well, I wouldn't quite say it's dry, just that the juice consumption is insanely high. What I'd really like to know is that, if I were to really load the base up with cotton, like to hold more juice, would that get wicked upwards?
When I was using dual coils on the igo w, I just had them sitting on clouds, so I didn't have this problem.
It's kicking the vapor, so I figure this problem can't really be resolved, just part of the trade off. I suppose.
