Oh dear. Gosh. Yes when you replace the coil and wick you need to discard the remaining juice and get your tank well washed (including 0-rings) and from what I'm seeing your coil isn't too happy but I can't be super specific, I don't own that ah, particular squonker.

Hopefully it gets better for you but your BIGGEST mistake was selecting an Ijoy. I am really sorry you can totally fix all the other stuff and I'm sure you will, but my experience with Ijoy is that it's worse than Smok, as a brand.

I would maybe suggest (whether it improves or not) getting a different backup device of some sort, do some reading here, you can buy online for far less expense than a vape shop and if you keep at vaping, well you should have ONE backup at least, so maybe at some future awesome date your IJOY can be your backup device, and you will look back on your vape experience and think, "I am so glad I moved on from the equipment I first had," and well, that was actually my experience.

I do not look back at my first tank and mod with any kind of enthusiasm, joy and pleasure in fact I gave away the tank and was prepared to send it all the way to Jerusalem (no lie, that is how it worked out) to get that tank away from me ,l am glad someone far, far away from me gained some enjoyment from it, let me put it that way. LOL.

Good luck and welcome. :)

So i just bought a vape for the first time after using my lady's here and there while. Against my better judgement, I went with a different type than here and got a squonker. It worked well for three days then I possibly burned my cotton and it immediately tasted very burned. Took the burned cotton out and replaced it with no change is the burned taste. Figured I burned the coil. So I just got a new coil and put it in. Aligned the vents, presoaked the coil (SRDA pre-built) as well as the cotton. Upon firing it, it immediately tasted like I inhaled over a menthol flavored bonfire and I thought I was dying nothing burned this time, but I still replaced the cotton, resoaked it, lived the coils multiple times, then after an hour, tried again. The smoke flavor has gone down, but it still tastes like smoke and doesn't taste like the flavor it should. I'm three days in on a 170 dollar set up and about the toss it and say screw it because I don't wanna pay alot more fixing something that doesn't make sense about why it's not working. Any care to help?
Welcome and glad you joined.
You bought an advanced vape setup. You are a beginner. Hang on to your equipment, it will come in handy when you learn how to use it. Suggest you start at the beginning and read the information below, it may help you to obtain a good foundation of vaping knowledge.
