After seeing how much my sister and BIL love their ijust2's my husband ordered one from an online vendor. It came with the tube mod and the tank. It's all fixed wattage/voltage, but it changes based on battery charge apparently. Anyway, it came stock with an eLeaf .3 ohm resistance coil. We primed it, filled the tank, let the juice sit for a minute and fired it up. Burnt like crazy. Just nasty burnt taste. So we took that one out and today I went and got a .5 ohm Aspire coil that is supposed to be compatible. Primed it, filled the tank, let it sit, fired the device up, burnt. The online vendor has no return policy for used devices, so my husband is super frustrated. Any ideas on what the problem could be and how to solve it?

This is a real p.i.t.a tank to soak up juice. I like it for what it is... A $12 tank that takes the mediocre aspire Atlantis coils, but it will burn the hell out of the coils if you ain't careful.
The Atlantis coils always have wayyyyy too small juice hole for anything above 70% VG so if didn't get the version 2 coils or the Atlantis 2 coils you probably got the original Atlantis coils with the small holes which are way too small.even 50/50 juice struggles in it.
Also you almost have to use the lime green rubber ring that came with it and really close down the are flow until it's barely lung hit table. Reason being is that it's way too much airflow and not enough suction to keep the juice flowing into the coil keeping the cotton wet.
So again, use the lime green rubber band to close down the air flow and if you are using high vg juice then you need to rethink it.

In my testing most Atlantis coils, with high vg juice can't handle over 30w @ 0.5ohm, and that device and any mech mod, which is what this is, will put out way more than the coil can handle. So you need to use the tank on a VV/VW mod that you can push below 30 w.

Or use 50/50 juice and prime the holy Jesus out of the coil. A few drops isn't enough you need to prime and prime and it doesn't soak up anymore. And still use the rubber ring to force you to suck harder on the mouthpiece which sucks more juice into the coil.

That tank/coil should have never been put on a mechanical mod like the Ijust battery because you are vaping way more than the coil can handle.

Use the tank on a device at around 25w and you will start to enjoy it, is the battery/mod on something that can handle the 4.2v it puts out at a full charge.

I have the Ego One Mega and though it uses differ coils, much much smaller infact it is the same way. I have to close the air flow wayyyy down just to allow the coil to suck in more juice. Or it will burn the cotton within seconds.
I use the mega tank on my vv/VW device more than the ego one mega battery but I have learned, even with max vg juice, how to get what I want out of the Ijust and the ego one tank with the battery mod device.

But you need to prime prime prime and get the Atlantis coils with the larger juice holes. I believe they call it the aspire Atlantis coil V2

I have been using 50/50 juice and had great luck with this tank and battery-------sometimes a little too much heat comes to my lips and I must change how I

position the mouth piece----If I put just the tip in my mouth I get too much heat as it burns a little-------but if I insert the mouth piece straight in and take

a lung hit then I don't feel the excess heat. I think if I used a little longer drip tip then

I could get away from the burning on my lips......
