So I just changed my coil primed it really good then letting it sit in my tank with the tank filled bit when I do a long hit it tastes burnt what does that mean

I'm betting a few of us need more info from you ... do you mean you just screwed in a new basic factory coil, recoiled a deck, and if so added new wick as well or what ? What unit, what watts or temp settings ... if a factory coil was it basic, ss, ni200, or what ?
Are you sure you thoroughly saturated the wicking material?
Can take 5 - 10 or more drops directly on the wicking material.
Did you take a few un powered primer puffs while restricting the airflow to ensure it was fully saturated?
Should see a few bubbles rise from the base.
Have you tried lowering the power?
It's always a good idea to start a new head at a lower power than you normally use. This ensures the new head is primed properly, wicking well & allows it to break in while reducing the chance of burning the new wicking material & ruining the new head.
What I do after I prime factory coils and let it sit for a few mins, I turn down my watts/volts all the way down and gradually turn it up. I know pain in the .... but it is better than burnt coils.
Echoing the advice here - start low. Break the coil in after *fully* saturating it. Takes a bit to get the juices flowin'. Start low, and dial up slowly, and make sure you leave 10 seconds or so between each draw. Take a few draws without firing.
Have you used your juice with satisfying results? If so, priming is most likely the culprit. I've heard of manufacturing oils making their way into devices. I picture a 5 year old Chinese girl threading kanthal with one hand while eating a chicken leg with the other. Occasionally she switches hands.
