So today I switched from a Protank to an Ikenvape Carto.

The carto is giving me better flavor and I prefer the tempature of the vape.

I found it curious that I had to increase the voltage compared to the Protank, both were the same ohms.

Now just need a better tank. currently using a freebee I received from Puresmoker a ways back. Have one from IBTanked ordered.

Ikenvape are my favorites...of course I have 10 cases of Boge Backups but Ikes are the best and their customer service is second to none...not all coils are created equal my friend...They are different delivery systems made with different components. Protank is a clearo with a bottom fed horizontal coil and no filler....IKV's are verital coil cartomizers with a type of polyfill and a wick type tube that surrounds the coil that keeps the polyfill from being burned as long as it stays wet. I am not sure exactly each gauge and supplier of each respective vendors parts but I can make a two coils from different gauge wires and they will vape different even though I have the same resistance...That my friend is one of the greatest and worst things about vaping....when I explain it to my friends that are interested but have no clue I use a metaphor of convience...usually guns or cars....It's kinda like the Glock vs Sig type discussions....both fire the same bullets in the same caliber, both do it differently, and what it comes down to is which one you prefer is better ;)

Thanks to the people that have stuck threw the "dark ages" of the first few years of vaping combined with the ability to share and shop on the internet...the decades of car and gun customizing have compressed into years and months and now in a couple years they have gone from trying to McGuyver a good vape into a hundred ways to get a good vape and working on 200 ways to get a better one due out next week in time for christmas  anyways I am ranting....

There are a lot of really nice tanks out there made every which way you can put any metal or polymer cap on a polymer or metal or glass tank....IB is one of my favorites...but if you need something cheap for out and around...a smoktech DCT pyro tank is great, damn near indestructible and can be found for under ten bucks in 2.5 and 5 ml sizes...boge just came out with their pyrex F-16 to compete for around 10-15 bucks most places, and i know you can get MAP quartz tanks with removable caps for under 20 bucks. All tanks are not created equal, but all of these are solid glass tanks that won't break the bank you can find easy...and would more. than likely be completely happy with till you found that "holy grail" of cartotanks to suit your needs. I also like the AGR as well...it's another great 20 setup IMHO, but it's not as basic as the others, takes a bit of playing with. Good luck, and congrats and happy hunting and holidays...

and as always,
Happy Vaping!
