Hi and welcome,
What batteries are you using?
Do you have an external charger for the batteries?
Confirm that the batteries are fully charged.

Cheers

What were the "original batteries"? Manufacturer brand and model please. If you have a poorly performing battery brand then that's at least part of the problem. Are You Using a Rewrap (Rebranded or Aftermarket) Battery?

I don't know where in the world you're at, but we generally don't recommend leaving batteries in a hot car. (Doesn't matter if left in a glove box or trunk -- its still too hot.) Heat is the enemy of batteries and causes internal degradation. If your car is too hot to leave a baby in it, its too hot to leave your batteries in it.

It also sounds like the internal charger in the ikonn may be dysfunctioning to get that "charge error". If still under warranty, return.

If the batteries have been drained below 2.5 volts, consider them to be toast. Battery Mooch does not recommend attempting to recharge dead batteries.

Something weird is happening but I'm just not sure what. I think it would be sort of hard for batteries to d/c to the point you can't charge them after a week but batteries can be mysterious things, etc. Also, yes, if you have poor quality batteries or counterfeits well, all bets are off. Buy some reputable batteries and make sure you are buying from approved vendors.

The charging error USB thing is a bit of a mystery that sort of tends to make me wonder if your mod is somehow faulty, but the only way to know for sure without starting the warranty process would be to take it to a vape shop and see if they can test it for you with different batteries and see if it works. If the warranty is expiring soon, I'm not sure I'd wait to get new batteries sent and etc, (although if you want to keep vaping you may need them and etc., in either case).

Battery info. If you want a little light reading (don't do it all at once, but do learn some about battery safety and the importance of batteries in vaping, etc.)

Good luck,
