IKV 510 Mega LR carto question

I just got 10 of these to try, and had a question. It's the first time I've used filled cartos (CE2 before I experimented with tanks) and I don't know what's unique to the IKV ones and what is common to filled cartos.

They do take about 30 drops to fill, but they have to be frequently topped off and they only take about 10 drops to top off. Is this typical? Or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks, but that thread really doesn't address my question. I was asking about topping off, I've got the initial fill pretty well covered.

How thick is your vape juice? The filler in the Megas seems a little denser than other cartos and thinner juice will help with wicking, so you should get more time between refills. Try diluting the juice with a few drops of vodka and see if that helps.

BTW, I usually vape the Platinums, and for a couple of refills I've added as many as 24 drops... it started tasting flat and too warm, so I know I went too long before filling, but I was amazed! No other carto I've tried will drain down this far.

I've limited myself pretty much to Ms T's juices. They're thicker than a few I've tried, but not by much, and a lot thinner than others. She doesn't release her PG/VG mix (proprietary info), but I'd guess it's about 60PG/40VG.

I'll bleed some off into a smaller bottle and try adding a bit of vodka - or everclear. I keep that on hand to wash things out. I don't mind the topping off so much, but if I'm only getting 10 or so drops of vaping out of the initial 30, that means I'll be losing about a ml each time I toss a carto. The tightwad in me starts gibbering in the corner every time I think about it.
