Ordered my first 5v box mod from Ken at boxmods. Grand total was $67 with shipping for the mod, 4 batteries, and a charger. Ordered Saturday and shipped today. Saying I'm excited would definitely be an understatement at this point. I've been vaping for a little more than a month. Started with the basic 510 kit from cignot, shortly after that, I got an eGo kit and gave away my 510 batteries. Can't wait to try all my juices, attys, and cartos on the 5v box :vapor:.

Congrats!! I seem to be on the same progression as you with one exception. I'm trying DIY first. I can only do one or the other right now so I hope to get to the 5V stage soon. Can't wait to hear what you think.

I just ordered my first 510 starter kit
I am addicted to electronics as much as I am addicted to nicotine and judging how you guys have upgraded from the 510 already, it seems like this is going to become a whole new expensive habit for me

I cant wait to get into moding ;)

same here, I just ordered a whole kit full of mod parts from another member in the classifieds. Gonna be stalking the mailman till it gets here. can't wait to try to build one. lots of info on how to do it on here.

Howdy folks. I'd like to join this conversation. I made my first box mod about a month after I started vaping. I got into mod making out of frustration. I got sick of charging batteries constantly so I ordered a DSE 905 mod from NHalers. It was a total POS and after being ripped off and lied to and then totally dismissed by the fine folks at NHalers I decided to try to put together the Nico Stick since it took the same batteries that I already had for the 905. I had never touched a soldering iron before or done any electronics stuff (I'm a woodworker) but I slapped that sucker together in less than an hour and it worked better than the 905 I had just spent $65.00 on. I got all the parts at Radio Shack (except the atty connecter) for less than $7.00.
I'm making copper pipe mods that are veneered with wood now and am planning to start making some carved from solid wood or turned from wood on the lathe.
I got hooked on mod making so be careful. It could happen to you too.:0
