So ive placed a order on ebay for a 5 piece lot of t3s just to have some extras to mess around with, long story short im out 23.00$ until ebay looks into it. Smh ..live and learni guess

File a case, and don't mention ANYTHING about e-cigs.

If you paid via paypal you should be completely covered, even if u didn't e-bay should probably make it right.

Best of luck!

I always cringe just a little bit when I click place order on ebay. So far, I've been fortunate with no real issues. In fact, I just bought something last night and commented to my wife that it's like playing roulette on ebay.
Since you can buy nearly everything on Ebay at the same price or better why take the chance? If someone on Ebay is really undercutting it's either stolen or fake.

I buy (and sometimes sell) on eBay quite a bit, and I've never had an issue that wasn't easily resolved. Of course I always make sure to do some research and choose a seller who has a good reputation before I complete a purchase.

Here is what I do when I am thinking of buying something on eBay:

1. Find multiple sellers with the item I want.
2. Check all of their feedback profiles for negative/neutral feedback ratings.
3. If they have any negative feedback ratings I check how old they are and what they were concerning.
4. Once I find a seller with good feedback and no (or very few) negative ratings I make sure and read the item description so I know what I am purchasing, I also check out their return policy.
5. If I have any reservations after all of that I may send the seller a message, and see how they respond. You can tell a lot about a seller by seeing how they respond to a potential customer.

Of course I haven't bought very many vape related items off of eBay, since there seems to be a lot more "shady" sellers in that particular category. Probably because most honest sellers wouldn't sell vape related supplies on eBay, considering they are technically against the eBay TOS (of course there are quite a few good ones selling vape supplies on eBay).

By the way, I'm not saying you didn't do your research, just thought I would share my process just in case it can help someone else in the future...

Not much on details.

I have never had a problem that eBay or PP did not take care of right away. I have won a few auctions where the seller refused to give it to me. Kind of pisses you off but no real big deal.

Edit: For those that think you can get the stuff anywhere, I just got an authentic KangerTech Giant for 15 bucks shipped. If you have a link for a seller that has them at that price please share.

The seller ratings are important in making a decision. That said, I have gotten some KILLER purchases by taking a chance on the new guy. Either way, other than having some funds locked up you really can't lose.

find a vendor who gives great CS, and also REWARD POINTS, and stick with them.

That way, over time, you will save $$.

really. You want someone who you can email and talk to if and when a problem, who knows you are actually a long time customer.

It's really not worth a coupla dollars to do otherwise, at least not to me.

Yup, my experience also. Ebay and paypal are the same now, makes claims a little easier. I use ebay because they have stuff not available locally and are almost always cheaper and CS is great. Faster than fastech too. Although fastech is getting faster lately.
But they have a way of not letting you place negative feedback sometimes. I received a refund but couldn't trash the guy. He completely ignored my emails and wouldn't refund till I got ebay and paypal involved. I sooooo wanted to trash him. I would mention who he is here but would probably get banned.

Ebay takes serious homework. But the payoff is good sellers that value your biz. Iv got a couple favorite sellers that I go to bc prices are very compitetive and I,ll get my stuff in a few days. Im done with FT. My vape budget is very limited and waiting 1- 2 months for an item that arrives broken or never arrives, I cant rationalize that anymore. At least on ebay I have a fighting chance if Iv done my homework.

OP, I am sorry this happened to you. Fingers crossed they come through and get you your money back.

What works for you, works for you - that's a great deal.

E-cigs and accessories are specifically banned from sale on Ebay. Because of this, the risk (no matter how small) is real that you may not get your money back in the event of a dispute.

I'd rather pay the extra few bucks and make sure I get my stuff.

I also dislike supporting those that have such a specific (and unnecessary) anti e-cig stance written in to their TOS.

Right now I really feel bad. I posted an mvp on there it sold the lady made the payment and then they pulled it down and I can not reach her. I mailed it off today. The payment is still in PayPal I just hope she does not think she just got screwed.

If you go to your paypal acct, click on the transaction, scroll down and you'll see the buyers email address.

I've bought and sold a lot on ebay, only ever had one issue where I never received the item and that was quite recently. As a matter of fact, it was an Evod starter kit. I notified ebay and after the required wait period for the seller to respond, Ebay refunded me completely. You really cannot lose anything with ebay unless you choose not to pursue it.

Good Luck, and don't give up.

Considering eBay is now aggressively targeting and removing listing for eCigs from sellers in the US, and PayPal is doing the same removing account services from USA suppliers... good luck falling back on the concept of buyer protection for these transactions. They could just fall back on the "unclean hands" principle: You have been informed in the AUP that's it's a violation to buy or sell that stuff, or to use PP to buy or sell that stuff, you voided your rights by engaging in an unacceptable use of the service.

People in the US better go re-read the AUP and TOS for both eBay and PP at this point, as the policies seem to overlap now. It appears from the wording that using PP to purchase something against the eBay TOS now voids any protections you have/had at PP.
