10 months since i had an analog , about a 30%-40% increase in "bottomtime" ( that might be confusing for the non divers ?)
I didnt actually consider this until i stopped smoking ,(and at this point feel very guilty) my dive buddies have missed out on going that little bit deeper , or longer or seeing that bit of shipwreck because they have had to surface early because i could empty a dive
tank in half the time they could.
That's definitely a good reason to stop smoking! I've been in quite a few discussions about smokers vs. non-smokers and diving, and I've heard that smokers actually get MORE bottom time, but I really have to disagree with this. Something about how smokers are used to getting less air and our lungs can maximize the use of the air we breathe - and how seasoned athletes burn through their tanks fast because they are used to lots of air... but I'll tell you for fact that if I ever have to exert myself underwater (which of course, we always strive not to do), I definitely feel the effects of smoking. I don't have terrible bottom time, but my buddies (who don't smoke) routinely surface with more air - and IF we were ever in an emergency, that's THEIR reserve air I'd be wasting! At least I won't have to sit near the engine exhaust fumes by the back of the boat anymore when I smoke, and I'm sure I could find a nice flavor to pair with a pina colada!! hahahaha. I'm planning on taking a technical diving course next summer, and I'm more excited to do it now as a non-smoker! Bring on the deep wrecks!!!!!!
Not sure if you were the guy looking for a pen style mod or not but heres a link. hopefully it finds the right guy.

YES!!! A pen clip!!!! After going a few days with it in my pocket, it hasn't really been a problem. It's nice that the battery I chose is a PERFECT size! Just the drip tip will stick out of my pocket, so its easy to pull out or adjust (is it time for another "what she said" joke? lmao). I still like this a lot though, I may consider when it's time for new equipment! Thanks for the link!
the harsh hit I find at first is just my body getting used to it..I only hit it on the weekends so every Friday it's the same thing for me..1st hit is harsh then as the night goes on it's really really nice..it does it to me every weekend lol..
all the smokers I show it to say it's really harsh then after a few drags it's much better for them also...
So far I let a few smoking friends try out my vaporizer, and they all coughed HARD and said no thank you. I told them it was the same for me at first, but they decided to pass (although one did say that it tasted pretty good). I won't deliberately try to convert anyone, but hopefully in time, they will come around (so I can have more juices to try! haha). I am absolutely AMAZED in the success I'm having!
Welcome to the forums, I'm new here too. I was the same way when i git my fist E-cig. You should try a sampler pack. you might find a better flavor to your liking. So far i like the 555 and Desert Joe. (still going through the sampler).
I totally had the tobacco and fruity samplers in my shopping cart at first, but they were out of the black cover up tips so I removed them and went for a bottle. I'm glad the flavor I chose was good for me - I definitely lucked out on that one! I wanted my device to look seamless and not all frankensteiny, but now I'm thinking that it really shouldn't be that important (although I do really like the sleekness of my device).

5 day update!!
STILL NO ANALOGS!!!!! I've gone on commutes, long walks, to work, ate a HUGE Thanksgiving meal, drank lots of beer with friends, been around other smokers, and many other typical triggers for cigarettes, and I DIDN'T WANT ONE!! I'm very surprised by all of this and am VERY proud of myself! I won't say it's been "easy", because I'm not even trying at it. The vaporizer has completely replaced cigarettes for me. I still go through the motions as if I were smoking - I'll go outside to the smoking section if in public, I'll distance myself from non-smokers, and at home, I'll occasionally still step out to my balcony (never smoked a cig in my apartment, but I LOVE vaping in the warmth from the comfort of my couch!). I haven't really vaped indoors in public yet, but I snuck a few drags in when nobody was around, and it's nice to be able to do that without getting caught (i.e.: lingering smoke smell).
One other thing I'd like to mention about the experience of vaping, though (this is another 'question' I had before starting), is that it's not like breathing in water vapor. I thought it would be like a cool mist. No. It's warm, dry, and feels like smoke - on both the inhale and exhale. That may be my biggest surprise about the whole experience so far. The vapor behaves exactly like smoke, which (I guess I never realized before), is a big thing I liked about smoking.
I knew what vaporizers were all about and knew of their benefits for quite some time (I've even stood up for vapers against other non-smoking patrons at my work), but I've never approached a vaper to ask questions or anything like that. On the flip side, I still haven't had anyone really ask me much, but there were a few "what is that" questions at the train station, and once I told them, I got support from almost everyone who asked. They tell me congratulations and good luck and wish me well on my journey. I wasn't necessarily curious about this and I didn't really care if it was the opposite, but it's comforting to know that it's accepted and looked upon in that sort of light.
I'm really anxious for my new shipments! On Wednesday, I ordered a healthy supply of Smokeless Image clearomizers and 4 new bottles of juice from EC Blends. Ohhhh boy, I really can't wait for the juice to arrive - should be VERY tasty! I concocted a honeydew/cantaloupe/cucumber (cucumber melon), kahlua/fresh cream/cola (colorado bulldog (it's a white russian cocktail with a splash of cola)), a random wild-card pick of "Dragon's Choice" which is a "creamy" banana/blueberry, and the one I'm most excited about - "Dragon's Milk". As soon as I saw a list of flavors you could pick from, I searched for 'rice' to see if I could create a Horchata flavor (it's a mexican cinnamon rice-milk drink - very much like rice pudding)... well, that's exactly what the description said about Dragon's Milk, and I was beyond excited! I skipped all the extra flavor and sweeteners for now, as I'm new to this and wanted to see what the base is like, but it was tempting. I got them all in 15ml bottle sizes (not big, but more than just a taste), since they were cheap enough to experiment with and still have some left for a few days if I really liked it while I wait for another batch.
So, 5 days in, still love vaping and havn't had a single cigarette since my first vape!! It's quite magical!
