I'm already using 24 mg, so don't really want to up anymore. I really do think it's just the act of smoking. It's better today.
we are all different but def try to find a few smokey type blends, for me anywqays having something around thats a little harshy, and rougher (like a cig) helps alot. for those times god I love my cuban lol

Thanks everyone! Unfortunately, I wasn't doing anything all that fun just after midnight on a Saturday, I'm simply a night owl. THAT test comes when my best friend gets here later in the week because it seems we drink wine constantly when we're together. Her 12 year old daughter actually bought us wine glasses last Christmas:oops:.

Anyway, I'm using and ego 650mah with passthrough, and a mini vivi nova tank. Still trying to find that just right juice, although I've tried a couple I liked. This morning I filled my tank with Banana Nut Bread from EC Blends. So far, I like it, but even though it's 24 mg nicotine, there's not really a throat hit.

I've never made it this long in any attempt I've made to quit smoking. Knowing how bad they actually taste, how bad they make me smell now that I can actually smell it), and how happy my kids are that I've quit keeps me from lighting up. I know that there will most likely be a moment when I fall off the wagon, but I'm a country girl, so I know I will just need to dust myself off and get back on.

I hear you, dukes, stay strong. I still get that urge to pop a dip in (usually at work) every once in a while. I've been dip free two weeks now. Hard thing for me was dip was just so convenient. I didn't spit so I didn't have a dip cup or anything. I could literally dip anywhere I wanted. There's a little more freedom with an e-cig than a regular cig but I still gotta put the thing up to my lips. When I get working really hard at work is when I miss being able to pop a dip in and work. But I've managed to fight the urge. Stay strong. You can do it.

Not at all, she's looking forward to checking it out. I am hoping by the time they leave our house, she and her husband will be converts, lol. Just simply the drinking and NOT smoking.

I'm about to hit a week of no smoking and today I'm having to really remind myself that I don't REALLY want that cigarette, that if I light it it will taste like ..... I just grab my pv and vape like a fool, but its been a little rough. I am now a firm believer that its not the nicotine that makes it so hard to walk away from cigarettes.

I'm right there with ya. When I caved and had one i regretted it, smoked less than half and put it out.

For me the throat hit of a real cigarette and the nicotine have been the two things I miss, so since I'm trying to quit spending money on cigarettes and liquid (although the liquid is MUCH cheaper) I smoke really low dose nicotine most of the time, and then about once a day switch to a high dose nicotine juice with a really good throat hit to get over the really bad cravings. So far so good.

I'm my opinion, it's all about retraining the connections in your brain. The more you deny the impulses, the easier it gets. I'm a recording engineer, and smoking went Hand in hand with my job. Yesterday was my first session in a while where I didn't smoke anything. Well, no tobacco anyway.... It went well, and I feel good! Keep at it. It will only get easier

I'm a week in to giving up and I'm doing good, but sometimes it will just cross my mind and I think I'm just going for a cig. Then I'm like ok I don't smoke anymore.the hard part was having a beer but I survived at the pub. Yipeeee

This is what I love about vaping. After a few drinks I don't need to go out to the garage or out on the street to smoke. Vaping has saved alcohol for me :D

You were correct in your 1st post. There's other effects of smoking besides just the nic. The good news... it will pass. The bad news is that it varies per individual. Your body/brain has to adjust to not having all that "other stuff besides nic" in it.

There will probably be a few other symptoms too. You body has to heal and adjust.

Took me 3 weeks but I did it! You can too. YMMV.

Hint: Try some dark chocolate bites for the next 3 weeks.
