I'm a Five Pawns fanboy and I'm not afraid to admit it.

I have not tried 5Pawns, most of the liquids here are home brews by the local stores and find most use a 70-30 mix ratio with 18,12 and 6 nic strength, I have done a lot of research and ordered my own DIY juice bases just waiting to try some mixing and flavoring of my own, wanting to try a 50/50 mix and get away from some of this heavy throat hit

Look at VapersTek nicotine ... it is super clean and IMO is on the same level as 5 Pawns.

Honestly, I don't know where some juice vendors get their nicotine from? ... I taste a pepper tone in a lot of vendor juice.

I've tried many companies, and hundreds of juices ... after all of that, I currently have two juice vendors: Five Pawns and Nicoticket.

I love Gambit, Fifth Rank, Bowden's Mate, Lucena, and Perpetual Check. I've tried CL and CLR ... if I could stomach coconut, I'm sure I'd love it too... but just can't do anything relating to or even hinting of anything coconut.

Always looking for more ... but these two vendors are my staples. Super high quality liquids that never disappoint.

Question for you CL fans, I just got a sample and while I like it the bourbon is too overpowering for me. Will that tone down over time after steeping? Thanks.

I don't believe so as Five Pawns usually arrives pre-steeped. All the ones I've gotten so far have a 'born on ' date 2 months or more previous so they're all well-steeped when I get them.

If you like the unique flavor of Castle Long but find too much bourbon for your tastes, an alternative is The Gentlemen's Reserve from The Steam Co. The flavor profile is basically the same as Castle Long, but the Reserve is a little heavier on the coconut and a bit lighter on the bourbon. I have both and it's hard to pick my favorite of the two :)

As with all the "high price spreads" - it's a crap shoot if they are loved or berated. I've been disappointed so many times I have not raised the nerve to blow a chunk of dough on juice I may or may not like. My BIGGEST FEAR is that I'll LOVE 'EM and have to choose between Insulin and Juice!

Taking the cheap way out and sticking with EC BLENDS and ITC VAPES. Perhaps not on the level of FIVE PAWNS - but I like 'em.

Maybe at Ho-Ho Time I'll tell the family to order a bunch for the old goat. :)

You might want to look into The Gentleman's Reserve from The Steam Company. Similar to CLR, but a bit lighter on the bourbon, and a bit heavier on the coconut.

Avid and Mazinny, thanks for the suggestion, I'll do that as soon as I get more money...Geez, sure wish I could just get stupid buying endless juices, dumb "keep a roof over your head and eat" bills getting in the way of my juice. :)

Whoever asked about steeping..

When I first tried CL a couple weeks ago, I didn't like it at all. The bourbon taste really turned me off, could only take a few puffs. And the bottle was "born" over 6 weeks prior. But I let it sit, and took the cap off a few dif times for about an hour or so each, and the alcohol did mellow out a bit. The nutty flavor is coming through stronger, and a bit of the creaminess. I hope more of the vanilla and brown sugar comes through.
.... but I think I'm starting to like it. I was surprised at 1st; out of the 10 or so gourmet flavors I just got (and have never tried), 5 Pawns Castle Long is the only 1 I did not like. And I was looking forwArd to it the most of all!!
And I like smell of it.. But I think I am starting to enjoy it. At first, it was unvapable for me. Letting it air out seems to have helped a bit (it's sitting with the cap off as I type this.)

I mainly got CL to see if I liked it enough to buy CLR in a cpl months, as a gift to myself when I hit 2 yrs cig free
