Been vaping since february, so Ive learned and go thru alot with e cigs.. without this site, i would have already given up, heck wudnt even have started vaping, I love vaping .. no more cig stink, or payin sooo much money! Anyway got three new atomizers, a fairly new riva10 and Im not getting any smoke at all.. Ive tried cleaning the atoms, rotating the ring, not screwing the batt to tight,,, and yet nothing happens... Its like a dead batt... but its taking a charge... i see the atom glowing correctly... any clues? Is it possible to put too many drops in, thereby soaking the batting as to where it wont produce anything? How long do batts last? pls try not to tell me bout measuring volts. I have no idea what or how u do that... I read about placing a drop of solder on the rings inside the atoms.. but im not sure i get the connection on how that makes a better connection... I have that cold solder iron.. wonder if that wud hellp? Thanks for any info you can give me I got my atoms ..from liberty flights which does back up its atoms.. i just find it hard to believe that all 6 wud break at the same time .... ugggg

well I can not answer you about atty's as I use blank cartomizers and fill them myself, I use V4L XL manuals and use about 6 rotating I clean them about every 2 to 3 weeks with Isopropyl alcohol 70% and have been using them since last August, so far I have had to replace 2 of them. I am sure that someone with knowledge will be along to answer your questions

Hmmm...do your old attys still work ok?... Are the new attys you bought debridged attys? I'm thinking...but I'm not a riva guy...hope you figure it out soon, tho....I'm sure others will be here to help ....right others?...

Ps...if your atty is glowing, then your battery is doing it's job, it would seem...I'd hold off on the solder for now...

Been thinking about this...is it possible that your cart filler (foam or whatever) is getting pushed down too far into your carts?
I think the the foam has to be pretty flush to the top of the cart before you slip it on to the atty... I only ask because I've done this myself...squashed it in too far and the juice couldn't get to the atty...just a thought....good luck with it...

Ok after posting this I realized you never said if you were even using carts...maybe you're direct dripping....

It is possible to flood the atty and then you won't get the vapor you want. Make sure to clean all the connections and blow through the connection end of the battery to get rid of excess juice, that could be the problem. However, if all six are doing the same thing I find it hard to imagine that is the problem. If you are using cartridges with the polyfill that comes with them you want to be careful to keep it wet. The first week I vaped I didn't keep mine wet enough and they got stuck to the bridge in the atty, I'm sure that would cause problems.
If you can't get them to work after blowing them out, there is a method to debridge the atty, but I would only attempt it on one atty at first. If you choose to debridge, you must remember that atties that have been debridged can only be used for dripping and it would void any warranty on the atties.

Well the plot thickens .. Lol K i have a riva 510 idk wat abridged means.. i screw the atty in.. i know that! Lol I ordered a pack of six attys.. they lasted about a week or less each.. I got em from liberty flights and i will call them also.. so i screw in the atty ..fill the filter with wadding and drip liquid into the wadding.. I guess theres times the attys get wet bcuase if i wait a few moments it works well.. and yes sometimes i see burnt material on the atty, inside where the coils heat up.. is that common? i scrape that gunk off and sometimes i get better results.. wats goin on now with these new ones is they heat up .. i can feel and hear the heat.. but all i get is maybe some white smoke, but the coils dont glow orange.. it just stays a no color producing white smoke,,. again its heating tho apparently not enough and being brand new i dont think they shud be doin that ..
thanks again for ur help ill try the alcohol thing.. and yes i think i do stuff the wadding too far down, now that u mention it . .. Lol i didnt even think that was a possibilty or an issue , stuffing too far! .. so ill watch that ..am i doin ok scrapin off the gunk? Is there anyway i cud damage the coils? anything else i shud be aware of? very frustrating when u buy new stuff that doesnt work.,, i bought the attys so i wud never be caught with out one, and i went down to the last one already * Crossing fingers ** as for the offer to contact thru email , and have a personal mentor is awesome! thats very kind and i just might take u up on that!! You guys rock! Enjoy ur weekend!:)

The stuffing needs to be in contact with the atty for things to work. That's probably the problem.

Nice catch Erfmann!!! :)

I don't think I'd be scraping in there except as a last resort. Try some alchohol soaks. Another thing you can do is get a about 1/2 cup of water boiling in the microwave then open the door and throw the atty into the boiling water. Don't run the microwave with the atty in there.

Hey there chix, wondered what happened with you.
It kinda still sounds to me like your attys are too dry..
When you fill, you should be able to get 10-12 drops of liquid into a fresh cart.
There are several videos on refilling on you tube..here's one.
Anyway, good luck to you, kiddo
