so I've been vaping for 2 months now and 2months cigarette free :D
anyways I've noticed though, I have not once seen a fellow vapor except at the local vape shop, no one driving and vaping, everyone smokes in my building, no one even comes up to me or looks when I make clouds at work or in public

guess people know what im doing but who knows

anyone else feel like this? I thought there were millions of vapors out there, guess not around me :T

my wife and I both Vape, our youngest son dropped two sets of gear in front of us 15 months ago, since then my brother and his wife have joined the ranks. Aside from that fellow vapers are hard to spot, my New Years resolution was to talk with as many smokers about the benefits of vaping and perhaps educate the public with the real truth, not the manufactured story line.

That's how it is with me too. I see people Vaping but it's usually on $35 kits people go buy at a vape shop. Never seen anybody outside of a vape shop who has something worth talking about. And people question what I'm using, and I almost don't want to tell them simply because they won't have a clue what I'm talking about.

but yeah its weird, no one has asked me what im doing, oh wait some old lady walked past me at work after finishing her cig and said w t f since she had to walk through my giant cloud LOL

aww too bad you aren't breathing in your toxins anymore you old hag :D

Did ya need a hug? lol. kidding.

I'm seeing a few now and then here (and I live in the country) I always speak to people vaping and ask them how the quitting is going... rarely get a positive answer but most are vaping on junk.

Congrats on 2 months!

Somebody get this man a hug! Pronto! lol

Evil, I think the gap between starter kits and proper working gear is getting less so hopefully we will see more vapers soon. The biggest complaint I hear is that people get frustrated fiddling with poor working tanks to start with.

We drove by a bar in the next town over last week, we had windows down.... there were people outside the bar smoking on the sidewalk. What a stink. I am so glad that is not me.

I saw quite a few people on a college campus vaping, typically something like an ego, one time an MVP, and one of my students whipped out a Vamo from nowhere in my office.

But then this winter I saw pretty sizable clouds rolling out of the window of a nice Volkswagen; this was not the vapor from an ego, and it was definitely vapor. It was rather cold outside too. I think it was my first time seeing a higher-end rig out in the wild (although I didn't see the rig itself).

My thought when I saw the thread title :)

I usually feel pretty alone, but on occation I see people vaping in the car next to me.
I want to check out the local vape group, but they rarely meet, and when they do it seems I'm out of town :(
That is one thing you can do is start a vape group, work with local B&Ms and such - contact a few restaurants/bars and see if they will let you vape or rent out a room to vape.
out side of that, My brother inlaws live about 3 hours away - I got one vaping, the other started around the same time I did (un coordinated) so usually we swap gear / experience then. My sister started dating a smoker and her cravings started kicking up so I helped her pickup a starter kit. Also got her boyfriend to pick up vaping - he's still dual using, but hes down from PAD to a few cigarettes a day or less!
I work from home, so no smoking areas where I can conversate with smokers - but we are going on a cruise in a few weeks and I have high hopes of converting people then :D

Well anyway, I have started seeing people out and about vaping. Seen several at Walmart, Cracker Barrel and a bunch at a Renaissance Fair I went to. I get almost excited when I see someone else vaping. I also love it when people has me about it. Some of them are so funny. One older man asked me about it and I told him it was nothing but water vapor. He seriously asked me, "Aren't you afraid of getting mold?" He went away shaking his head and puffing on an unfiltered cigarette.

A big congrats to you on the vaping.

An older man came up to me today and whispered to me "I saw you outside earlier. Was that an electronic cigarette?" I said "Yes." he asked me how I liked it, and I said I liked it a lot more. He then said "Good for you".

It was cool it was like he actually understood what it was and how it can be beneficial and I don't believe he is a smoker either because I've seen him around a few times.

I've seen a few vapers around but not frequently or anything, I think most of them kind of hide in public.

I know what you mean. I get the odd guy asking me about my set up. But they are usually starter people. The worst ( or best considering your outlook) are the guys that dont include your in the "smoke break." Im past the wanting a cigarette faze, but people still think im itching for a smoke.

It is hard finding people who are in the serious vaper rage for sure.

You are not alone, Evil! I feel like The Lone Vaper where I live. My wife (not a vaper or smoker) is getting tired of my vape stories. I am in serious need of a vape buddy. But I do have to smile when I see a smoker standing outside their car getting in a last puff of two in this cold Nebraska weather. I just smile, walk on by letting out my biggest cloud, get in my car, and motor away taking another hit. But nobody ever says a word. Go figure.

In the last couple week I've spotted two Vapers....one while driving, one at the UPS store this morning......other than that......nadda.

Oops (edit)....I forgot, I also seen an individual vaping at an appointment with a client....so three in the last month.

Honestly, prior to vaping myself, I didn't know the first thing about it.....I wouldn't have known what they were holding or sucking on in the first place.
