Does anyone else get bothered when every time theyre using a pv in public someone always has to be all nosey and all up in your business? I dont know about the rest of you but Im done explaining to people every single day what it is and how it works. If someone truly is interested in quitting smoking and needs help and advice thats a different story, but just some random getting in my business is so old. Were in a free country, its not illegal and i just wanna vape in peace and not be questioned every time about how im using heroine out of it or getting high. I realize people need to be educated about them but sometimes it gets really old, i just wanna vape and if im explaining to someone the ins and outs of an e cig, i cant vape. End rant.

Take my advice.
Learn a few ditties in another language (preferably one that is not readily identifiable in your area, like Latin, Russian, Icelandic or something like that) and when you are approached, just start passionately babbling in said language.
They will slink away thinking "dayum, they didn't even understand a word I said"

The most annoying to me... "Isn't that the thing I keep hearing about that are blowing up in people's faces? Why would you do something that dangerous?"

You should point out to them that it's the same type of batteries that are used in laptops and cell phones, which have exploded on rare occasion, and then ask them why they use something so dangerous.

I usually just get inquisitions as to what it is, what is in the liquid, has it ever blown up in my face(since vaping I guess I have gotten uglier), if you can use herbal supplements in it, if it works, how it tastes, ect. I was asked by a manager at my local Wal Mart to stop using it(no one within 20 feet in an isle) of I would be removed from the store. I agreed to but told him to look up some well known toothpastes in the next isle over and tell me what this has in it that the toothpaste doesn't... He had their LP follow me around the store until I left.

That is just bizzare that someone would approach you with such questions.

You lead a sheltered life. I go out to breakfast and take a book along. Something like every fourth time, someone asks me what I'm reading. What's up with that? Like sure, they're going to take a literary recommendation from a total stranger? One even told me he preferred biographies to my fiction. Why, you darling little intellectual, you.

When you get pestered about it try this:

"Oh this? It's a weapon. It chambers a .308 NATO round and it's accurate to 1100 meters. It's loaded. I'd like to be left alone now....."

Curious people run the gamut from rude to desperate to quit and looking for help. Most people only know what they learn for the media so it's normal for them to be curious about something they've never seen in person. You may be their first, and most lasting impression of the whole affair. I figure when I'm in public vaping, I really can't get too sanctimonious about privacy or interacting with "the public". Being defensive or aggressive doesn't really help anyone and often makes things worse. Anyhow, Minnesotans have a pretty good track record overall of practicing live and let live, and most folks I've met are happy to let you do as you please assuming they realize you aren't interfering with them doing what they do. There are exceptions, but I haven't been threatened or otherwise harassed yet. YMMV

I'll add that vaping snobs and 90lb weakings blowing fog and talking smack make me chuckle.

I never get that. I get odd looks but no questions and certainly no accusations. Maybe it's down to where you live, I don't know any vapers who get hassled like that. I'm in the UK though, people tend to mind their own business though they will often give you an accusatory or disapproving stare which bothers me not one jot.

Maybe im just not as personable as others but if im on a smoke/vape break, id just like to enjoy the five or ten minutes to myself. As much as i love vaping, it seems to open up a can of worms with randoms and people who would otherwise never talk to you. I kinda liked when i smoked and people just left me alone.

Then do not vape where strangers can see you. Simple as that. Honestly.. in the scheme of life this is not a huge deal.

It really depends on the questions being asked. If it is a smoker wanting to try, or a nonsmoker that is curious, then I'm all over it! But I have had the jerks who asked about "ahem!" and they are the ones that drive me up a wall. I sometimes lie and tell them "You ever heard of exploding e cigs? Of course you have! Well, they were using "ahem!" in them and that is how they exploded!" Hey, a stupid question deserves a stupid answer.
