Do you use your non-analog PV in public? What state/province/country are you in? I ask because...

I carry my MVP like it's a second wallet and have no hesitation to whip it out and vape but tend to be courteous towards others and not blow clouds at people like it's a game or something. Know I get some interesting looks and at times smokers will ask me and I inform them the best I'm able to. Funniest looks are usually while driving at the stop lights.

Roanoke, Va - vaping hasn't caught on much around here yet. I've seen one other outside of the handful I've gotten into it.

I have carried a ProVari, cigalikes, and spinners in public. I have never seen anyone else vaping anywhere other then for a Volt vendor at the flea market. I've got a couple of questions in the bar about my spinner, but that's it. These people really had no interest in 'vaping' either, it's just legal to do indoors in Ohio and smoking is not. I've never even seen a Blu user.

When I first switched over to eGos from cig-likes I only used my cig like on outings. Mostly out of fear of getting pulled over. After about 2 weeks I didn't care. More people are picking up vaping around here (small town, Washington). Ran into a chick that hadn't seen an eGo until I showed her mine. A few months later run into her again, and all her stuff was fancier than mine & she wasn't smoking cigarettes anymore ;)

Tucson, it's a dry heat
So, today in my training session, they were doing a stupid icebreaker ("tell us about yourself and what you like to do". Everyone was chiming in about their family, pets, etc. BLAH BLAH BLAH. When they got to me, I held up my EVIC (tricked out with leopard Jwrap) and said, "this has been my summer obsession since I quit smoking 6 weeks ago." Everyone clapped, but then the instructor responded with, "my 13 y.o. has one of those." Hmph! I hate icebreakers doncha know!

Carry with pride - it ain't something you need a concealed carry license for (unless you're 13) ;)

Central Teaxs, I saw my first fellow vaper (Other than at the vapestore) yesterday he had an ego with a strange tank i have'nt seen before It looked like a vivi nova but with an additional comparment on top he called it a "smoke chamber" i guess it cools the vape or something he was vaping real e-juice so no funny stuff.
I personally vape everywhere i go but I am polite about it. Sporting the MVP with a vivi nova or Protank I get alot of stares and a few questions but i don't care about the stares I know what I'm doing.

Haven't seen anyone vape in public, ever. I did see someone buying BLU refills at a gas station the other day, though. I won't vape anywhere smoking is not allowed- which would basically limit me to bars, which I don't frequent, so all my vaping is done at home or in my car. I did attempt to get a couple drags off of a BLU while waiting for someone outside an entrance to a hospital a year and a half ago, but was told by a security guard smoking is not allowed on the property. I told him it was an e-cig, but he said someone might think it to be a real cigarette, so was not allowed. Hence why I won't vape anywhere smoking is prohibited.

Good call on not vaping where smoking is prohibited. If I choose to do it I would ask first. I think being part of the vape comunnity that it's my responsability to be respectful and understand that not everyone is going to be knowledgable of the vape thingy. In their eyes, they are likely to see it as "smoke" and I get that.

I relize this has been pointed out before, but it may be important to revisite from time to time.

You see them all over the place in my corner of the USA.

Kristin,

Noticed your in B'ton. MHS '64 here, as is my bride of 44 years.

On da west side, I'm known as Johnny Cig (pronounced John E-cig). If ya ever get down to Warner's Bayou, I'm da ol' Ramp Rat fart with a PV stuck in my mouth. Drop by if ya get da chance!

As for vaping exposure, I'm not ashamed nor inconvenienced by extending my life and assistin' others to do da same!

ETA: Normally down at da ramp twix 4 - 6 PM.

My daughter had to have her appendix taken out a couple of months ago... Her Doc and the nurses allowed her to use an ecig while she was in the hosp... She was allowed to use it any where on the property and even in her room... I was really surprised... It was in a small town called Nashville Ar...

I wish they would all allow it... IMHO it would encourage more to make the change over...

Ego-c user here in Shanghai and use it wherever the hell I want (in China you can also smoke wherever the hell you want...)

Have seen one other vaper at a bar he was from Australia.

In Korea I saw quite a few Korean vapers and had pm's on a Korean expat site from other expat vapers.

In the UK I have never seen another person vaping, but haven't been there much in the last decade.

I'd be surprised if it hasn't kicked off in the trendy London bars or on University campuses.

... I have only seen a person vaping in public once, when visiting Atlantic City, NJ, in the evening on the boardwalk. They were using a cartomizer/battery type system with black battery/carto and blue lights on it.

I'm in Maryland USA btw.

Now, there may have been many times I've seen people using an analog and not noticed (which I guess is the idea) but I don't know that I've ever seen anyone using anything APV-like in public other than that one time.

So do you, and/or have you seen others using one?

Other related questions would be "how often have you seen this where you are?" and "have you seen an increase in such sightings?"

I haven't seen anyone vaping period. I know that a fellow ECF forum member lives 2 minutes up the road from me so there are vapers around I just haven't seen them lol. But, I know people see me vaping a 18650 MOD with a Tatroe Tank on top

PS: I'm right across the river from you (In NoVA)

Many of us do not agree with you. Instead, we advocate vaping openly just about everywhere BUT respectfully.

If you vape only in smoking areas, you are telling the world that vaping is the same as smoking and just as dangerous and should be kept far away from other people. Perception is reality and that is NOT the perception that we want to provide the uninformed.

Vaping openly but respectfully is a good path to follow.

I agree with both views to a point. I vape outside, in my car, around my friends when we are partying, but if I am in an area that prohibits smoking, I do not. And how close to people (that may be offended by your vaping) do you vape. Are you willing to force your habit (behavior) on someone who does not like it just because YOU think its safe? I am still very much on the fence about that. Despite numerous studies, we still don't really know. Just because you can, does not always mean you should, or is courteous to do so? Dippers do not inhale or exhale smoke. Those who do snuff do not inhale or exhale smoke. It grosses me out if a dipper(many in my family chew) spits his chew at my feet or in a cup. Is he technically doing something that would infringe on my health... Probably not. But it's still gross to me. Even though you think you have found the "Holy Grail" to satisfy your nic addiction does not mean that everyone around you gives a darn. (I am including myself in this group) I am addicted to nicotine. If you think you are not, put down your pv for a while and see how long you can go without picking it up... ;-)~ The smell of some juices are highly offensive to some people. Are you saying we, as a group, are addicted to nicotine and you have to tolerate our behavior whether you like it or not because we think its safe?

I would really like to know what your idea of openly but respectfully is. Do you think we should be able to vape in crowded conditions with kids around without any self control? What do you think we should be telling the world about how we satisfy our nic addiction? I am only bringing up points that I, myself are conflicted with. I will probably get slammed for this viewpoint but its IMHO...
