Nice truck.

I work with alot of trucks but we see very few of the fancy ones due to weight.

We ship right to the legal limit so the trucks don't have a single extra thing. Pretty spartan life for the drivers I guess, things like cutting the handle off the toofbrush to save weight. Also it would seem they dispense with unnecessary things like deodorant and clean cloths.

Not sayin yer one of these customers, but I wanna just once hear one of my customers mumbling about my stinkin a** while I'm still waiting to be (un)loaded 8 hours after my appointment time for the 3rd stop in a row! And then leaving me with barely enuf time to get to my next appointment without driving like a criminal.

Hours of service regulations and shippers expectations often don't leave wiggle room for such luxuries.

Add in shippers and consignees that think it's paramount to hold a driver up for hours at a time due to incompetence somewhere within the building and all bets are off.

Of course I'm not speaking for myself. I'll wash up and brush my teeth in your sink with the door open if need be. And if I have a choice between your incomprehensibly scheduled load and my laundry and hygiene, damn your load. It'll get there when I do.

Though trucking does have more than its share of nasty mofos. I'll give you that.

That is a nice rig. I grew up driving stick and loved it with a 4 or 5 speed but don't understand how it translates to a big rig. With having to deal with 18 gears, it seems like automatic would be a good thing, no?
