Hey REOnauts,

It's been a few years since I've traveled these halls. I used to have quite the Reo collection, but moved on to fancy genesis atties and the super-rare mod world. I'm back in full force now with a couple Grands and BFRBAs, but I've got a pretty frustrating issue. I just got a brand new REO from Rob today (I love the feeling of a Brand New REO) with an RM2. I spun up a nice coil, primed the wick, and it hits like a champ with these upgraded internals.

The problem is squonking... After my bottle is about 1/5th from full it basically stops working. I've checked for obstructions, tried it without a coil, cut my juice from 75VG to 50/50 and I just can't get a drop of juice on the deck without pressing ridiculously hard and long. I'm talking enough force of the thumb to dent drywall, for about 8 seconds. I tried cutting one of my tubes on an angle and I couldn't really see a difference.

Any thoughts? Or is this just the price you pay to have a killer bottom-fed atty on a sexy REO these days?

P.S. Glad to see so many familiar faces still kicking around.

Sounds like an obstruction in the tube or base of the 510, or in the RM2 base.

To find out where the problem is, maybe remove your RM2 and then squonk, the liquid should easily rise up inside the 510 and catch cup. If it doesn't, your problem is in the tube or the Reo's 510. Otherwise, there's a blockage in the RM2.

Good to see old hands back on deck! I'm just one of them noobs ;)

Wow, I took the RM2 to bits, and the silicone insulator seemed to be causing the issue. I cut aboot 2.5mm off it, put it back in and made sure not to screw too tight. Squonks like a dream now :D
I have to think about doing this myself. Is there a shortcut to what you did?

You might want to cut a "V" in the tube. It is probably still just a little long and sucked down to either the side or bottom of the bottle... The "V" seems to have worked better for me...

Nevermind, seems I was a little too gun shy here and should've read the entire thread before I posted... Congrats and welcome back...
