Hey ECF friends....

it has been months since I was here. Many know me with co-ops etc. In July I had a major seizure and was rushed to the ER. 4 years ago I battled for the first time Breast Cancer and it was in remission for quit some time. However Dec 2 I was told it was back and I was back in the battle again. That was also the day I stopped smoking and bought my first ecig....and fell in total love....At the ER they found my breast cancer had spread and they found 2 large and 2 small tumors. I was rushed to surgery to remove the major ones. however 2 were small enough and well not in a place they could get to without causing more harm then good so those were left and now I am in a monitoring stage. It is called metastatic brain cancer. Many people live years and they do nothing or they "switch on" and grow and I will have to go through rounds of chemo to put them back into remission.

ANYWAY...I AM HOME!!!!! it took a lot of rehab and time but I am feeling much much bettter and my unusual amount of headaches/migraines have decreased to a couple times a month better then the DAY after DAY of agony. ALSO Hubby got me a pure bred german shepherd puppy who is being trained to be my assist companion. She detects if I am going to have a seizure or if I just am on an off day. Her name is Sura....those who watch Sparticus will know where that name came from...and she is a complete and total doll. She is now about 5 months old and such a joy to see grow and go through her training it's so much fun and she helps to keep me positive and active.

So those who missed me I am back....Those with co-ops I messed I hope you can forgive me and understand it was never intentional and I will do all I can to make it up to you. You all are such a strong and wonderful community I missed you so very very much!!!

Much love to all and I look forward to being active again.

Welcome back Jenn! That is one gorgeous puppy you have there :thumb:. As you can see from my avatar, I'm a dog person as well ;)

Sorry to hear about your cancer woes! That just sucks. My wife (and I) went through a year from hell with cancer a few years back and she is doing very well now. I wish you all the best, stay strong and don't let things get you too up or down. After a while my wife and I both felt like we were on a roller coaster. Good news on Monday, bad news on Tuesday, good on Wednesday, well, you get the idea and probably know all about this too by now. After a while we both found that taking things in stride was the best way to go.

All the best and stay strong to you and yours Jenn!

Vape on :)

LOL, in that last picture my first thought was that Sura is all ears! It's because our Sadie still has floppy ears and we're used to that .

Thank you very much Jenn and the same back at you and yours!!

Yeah I miss the floppy ears...then it went to one up but tilted side ways then both standing tall. Can't believe how big she is getting.

OMG you've been put through the ringer. I hope your health continues to rebound without further incident.

Sura is gorgeous! We used to have a black male GSD with huge ears. They were always "up" as a puppy unless he got a bug or was really pooped. Then they'd droop from the tips down depending on how sick or tired he was. We always thought he'd grown into them. They don't, they grow right along with them At Halloween we'd just toss a black cape on him and even little kids would point and scream, "It's Batman!" The ears are a riot.

We have a new one now, also black. His name is Oscar, we call him Princess. First dog had sensibility and dignity, Princess has neither. His ADHD is even worse than mine. Didn't even know dogs had it until Princess moved in. Plus he screams like a girl. He had one ear up and he other worked like a barometer; up, down or anywhere in between. Don't worry, in the end they will both stick up. As you have found out, they are also the best medicine. I swear I get more milage out of him than I do with all the fancy pills they make me take. You're in good paws.

I love the big ears! Shepherds with big ears are riot. I'm thinking of renting mine out to SETI. If we put Riggs and Sura together, they will make contact!

Lynn, that's a great looking golden!

You have the honkey version Haunted. Beautiful! Our first dog had ears just like that. We talked about SETI too, lol. Maybe there's something to it. Would explain a few strange things around here.

ETA Jenn, we marked Princess' growth on a table leg. It was very interesting to see how it progressed.
