i boought my 1st mechanical mod on 2012. then i stopped.
since last june i just started again..i just really wanna stop smoking..

i bought a VGOD full mech, RDTA..
it went good for a month..i wanted it to produce more vapors...so last week i bought a twisted wire. nichrome .55.. but my mod heats up really fast fast..and my battery heats up also and im worrying now that it could burst in my face..

can i use twisted wires on my VGOD..?
if so.. how many loops..?
what instruments do you need to check resistance of coil..?

thanks..:) KEEP ON vaping.
Hi mate,
How did you wrap the twisted .55 nichrome?
Single coil/dual coil?
What is the ID of the coil and how many wraps per coil?

Cheers

Are you asking where to get these items? You can get an ohms meter from many vape shops, and amazon as well. It's not hard to obtain one, unless you live somewhere where shipping these items is prohibited. Same with wire, and, well, I assume you mean cotton or rayon, I wouldn't necessarily use gauze pads though I guess you could if the material was okay.

You can get wire in a variety of types and gauges fairly easily from many vape shops (Amazon also) and with these tools you should be able to get a coil going that's a safe resistance. If it's easier for you to check builds on a regulated mod, you could also have a regulated mod in case you don't want to use the mech mod all the time. These are all fairly easy things to obtain, if you don't have vape shops where you are, you could look online.

really be glad if u had some guides i could buy..
like ohmeter and wire gauze...

The info is free, and thankfully the basic tools are cheap. What kind of access do you have for buying vape gear? Shops? Online? Both? A shop will be pricier, but a good one can be a huge help with getting set up and many places will give you full tutorials or even build for you. Your profile says Manila - I'm not sure what the vape ecosystem looks like over there in terms of shops, but man, are you in the right place for mech vaping!

Look for something like a Coilmaster mini tab, which is an affordable ohm reader that allows you to check for shorts, and shape and pulse your coils on a protected and convenient platform before ever placing it on your mech. You can also pop a battery in it quick to check voltage in a pinch.

Check your builds once installed, once shaped and pulsed, once wicked, once the top cap is on (and again if there's AFC), and even when the drip tip is on, if it's metal or has a metal base. Any deviance in the reading can mean a short. Look YouTube for build tutorials online, start simple to get the hang of things.

At the end of the day, I promise this is all very simple in practice, but there are a hundred little interconnected parts and principles to be aware of. Keep asking questions, we're happy to point you in the right direction.
