I'm building my first coil Right Now!

Okay here I go. Just got my first rda today and I just got home from work and I'm going to wrap my first coil.
be back in a little bit to let you know how it goes. Wish me luck.
I'm using 30g Kanthal and trying for 2.0ohms and I'm gonna make my own wick from cotton.

It's just a little bitty smoktech rda sometimes referred to as the octopus I believe. Figured start small work my way up.

So I wrapped it six times on an old stylus I have. Couldn't tell you what the diameter of it is but maybe like a toothpick and a half. Hahaha I'm too much of a farm boy to do things like everyone else. Plus I was just excited to try it out so I grabbed what was handy.
It's reading 1.9 very consistently but some times 1.8

Okay wick made and installed. Nice and soggy with vanilla ice cream juice. Here goes!

Good job. Just make sure your coil isn't sitting on the base. I always raise it a tad so I can see under it. Also make sure your positive and negative posts are tight...slightly loose can cause it to move ohms on you.

LOL we do have fishing boats in Colorado but mostly for bass and trout fishin.

Thanks again Elizabeth! There is this little short post looking thingy and the coil was actually touching the top of it. So I pushed it up and away from it.I think I should install the next one on the other side next time because that little post thingy i only on one side. It almost looks like it could be for an air hole but it's not. Do you know this post thingy I'm referring to and why it's there?
The screws are nice and snug.

It's really short, maybe 16th of an inch.

Thank you! yes it seems to be doing pretty good. I'm fiddling around with the power output and gettiing a bit light headed from all the puffin. I knew my normal 36mg was gonna be a bit too much once I started dripping. luckily I have a bottle of 12mg and I think i should use that for my experimenting.
