Yeah, it's the air hole, put your coil above that, not on the other side. You should also see a hole on the side of the base, and a hole in the top cap. Make sure that you align the hole in the top cap with the hole on the side of the base when you put the top cap on, so you get proper air flow. And congrats :D

One more question then I got to get to bed. So I'll have to see the answers to this in the morning.
What difference does the coil diameter make. Say I had wrapped it on something smaller. Would that affect it's resistance? I know the number of coils does but what about coil diameters?
Thanks everyone! see y'all tomorrow.

Resistance is about length of wire, and wire gauge. If you used the same length of wire to wrap wide diameter coils, it would be the same as a small diameter coil, but you'd have more wraps. Conversely, if you wrapped the same number of wraps, but with smaller diameter, you'd have less resistance. I personally like 9/10 wraps around a 1/16" drill bit

With the stylus you used, you did *pulling a number out of the air* 10 wraps and got 1.9 ohms. A smaller diameter stylus with the same 10 wraps would give you lower than the 1.9 ohms you got because it doesn't take as much wire to go around it 10 times. A larger diameter stylus would give you higher than the 1.9 ohms you got because it takes more wire to go around it 10 times. < <<< Both of those assume you used the same gauge wire for all 3 wraps.

Unless it's Tuesday, and the moon is full and you are facing East while you are wrapping it counterclockwise....and wearing purple socks. Then everything is the opposite :D

Makes perfect sense. Thank you.
I hate to tear down my first build but I'm so eager to try different wraps I know I will. I like the idea of more wraps because in my mind that means more surface area of the coil touching more surface area of the wick which in my mind sounds like better vapor production.
Does that sound right?

TO a point yes. It is possible to reach a level of heat where you need more airflow than the existing airholes in the RDA provide. Which is why you see sub ohm vapers drilling out airholes.
