probably someone who asked for their name to be changed and the administrator who did it missed a letter somewhere... over and over. that's one way it would all be on the same account so you could scroll through all their recent posts and see it change. otherwise, the admins would likely lose patience quickly unless it was an inside joke. would be a rather obscure inside joke though, so i doubt that's even considerable.

in Anns defense, she does live near jim thorpe and apparently doesn't have much of an issue stalking dozens of people on the internet. maybe, just maybe, she's insane enough to warrant such a username.

I kid. I kid.

EDIT: my mother lives in Weatherly, BTW. ;)

There's nothing wrong with a little crazy, keeps things interesting ;-) ... Wouldn't mind hearing the story behind your username though.

Hmmm...you could have possibly had a shot at being a smidgeon accurate if I was actually from JT or any town around here lol. Since I'm not from the area (I've heard of, but have no clue where Weatherly is, sorry), these "small town folk" still entertain and amuse me regularly with their ways.
I've never "stalked" anyone, but as I'm sure many other people do, I follow friends posts and the posts of others who have a writing style or way of thinking that I appreciate. I assume that's why the forum gives you the option to do so easily. ;p

I'm starting to wonder why my UN invokes a reference to insanity for people though lol. I thought with my name being Anne, and my being known as a cool and fun party animal most of my life, it was a no brainer. I guess it's simply human nature to pry too deep sometimes hehe.

I kid too ;)

To reiterate, I follow friends and interesting people or threads every day. I don't have a lot of friends or subscriptions, just enough to keep me coming back here with interest every day. I actually have a feeling that after posting this thread my friend requests will trickle to a drip because of my display of insanity lol.

Kidding again. ;)

I admit, I have a unique personality that only people who know me well are aware of. Although many of them have indeed called me insane/crazy more than once, it was always in a good way. How many people do you know that can pull off good insanity lol? :D

I hope at least one of you cracked a smile.

Could be more than one person with the same name with just different variations of spelling.

I'm thinking this is the best explanation by the way it looks. If you click "posts" on a members profile, it will show you all of their posts in chronological order. Since this user has a short username that is also a common name, perhaps there's a glitch that made a few other member names fall through the filter.

An example would be if my username was just "Ann" and you would click on my profile to see my posts. Instead you would see a group of posts by "Annabelle", followed by a group by "hannabanana123", followed by "dianna1212" and so on with my posts somewhere in between.

Highly unlikely. The names were different by much more than just one or two letters.

Multiple accounts will get a person Banned/Moved On.

There has to be a different explanation. If Partyannimal could remember what member and the names used.... ??

I remember the name but I'm not interested in starting drama, I was just curious. That's why I didn't post the name.

A couple changed names just to avoid confusion. Kena changed his name to Ken A. People were mistaking him for a fem. I think Erik something did a change to Butters just because he was closely identified by his name.

I can understand that. I mentioned that I also changed my name shortly after joining, but what I wondered was why one person would have posts from at least a handful of similar names.

I smiled :) ... you know what's funny? I, for sure know your name from around the forum, but I always "assumed" that you were a guy based on username alone. I usually don't pay that much attention to avvy's, at least initially (as there is clearly a woman in yours). I know that I am not the only one who doesn't pay "close attention" to avatars because a member here, who is actually a friend now, called me "dude" when he pm'd me about a classified ad.

@beckdg ... For the longest time your username registered in my mind as "becky", and yes I thought you were a girl  .. it wasn't until much later that I realized that you are male .. I think, if memory serves me correctly, I believe I saw a post where you were speaking of your family, and I had a "aha" moment. :)

Like partyannimal, I tend to focus more on the authors of the comments that capture my attention ... usually anyone who has an air of security, confidence, humor, and intelligence.... Oh, and those who use proper sentences, grammar, and punctuation.

i just look for gorgeous women in an avatar then pretend to be secure, confident, funny, intelligent... and use a spell checker. then i hope my screen name dupes them into thinking i'm a woman until they're comfortable.

cat's out of the bag now. thanks Nikkita6. :p

Ahahahaha ... that is basically how it happened beck! ... And quit playing modest, you posses all of those qualities. Actually, as I remember it, you initially seemed rather elusive .. I know that you read, more than you post, because I would see your "likes" to many members posts, but not as often would I see a comment from you. I also read more than I post, but when I do post, I tend to have a lot to say... some might call me outspoken
