So after seeing many admittedly nice so called authentic mods in my local B&M, I took the risk on a stingray clone. It's not bad and only slightly less refined than the original. My local B&M had the Silver Wolf Customs Kryptonite mod that really seemed to do it for me, price was $325 CDN. This is a bit much in my books for a mod, but I really liked and wanted it, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Low and behold I see on SWC Facebook page they are making a copper version of the Kryptonite mod :) so I contact them via message on FB and they answer right away asking for a PH# to contact me which I provided. They responded that they would call shortly. 3 days go by, I message again expressing interest in the pre order for the copper K. No answer and it's now been 2 weeks. No worries, I roundhouse kick the internetz with my google-fu and come up with a manufacturer on alibaba that clones this mod in the copper I want (authentic is not even released yet). I contact them and am given a price of $33 USD, pretty cheap so I take the risk, pay extra for 3-5 day DHL delivery (I'm impatient and want my stuff yesterday). When it arrived I greedily opened it up and was totally thrilled with the quality, it is EXACTLY the same as the "authentic" I handled at the B&M, threading and all. I suspect there are fewer $250,000 CNC shops in the Phillipinnes (third world country) than people think, and a lot of the mods are farmed out to manufacturers in mainland China.

Pretty slick! Having lived in a couple third world countries, I can attest to several things I've encountered:

- manufacturing/fabrication/skill is as high as you are willing to pay
- what you have to pay to meet the standards you might expect of a first world country is a fraction of what it would cost in a first world country.

Case in point, I've had suits tailored, custom cut/measure, choice of cloth (enough catalogs to make a small library), buttons (thousands), thread (again, what seemed like thousands) and so on. The tailor even threw in two custom shirts. I've never seen a level of quality that compared and I've shopped at Harrods in London! And this was completed and delivered to my hotel, along with a guy to help me unpack and fit, and report on my satisfaction (his words, I kid you not!)

For $120... Canadian!

It vapes like a dream, I drained an 18650 in it today, using my .5ohm soldado RDA. Picked up 2 26650 batteries to see if I can get a longer vape out of it. So far I got about a half day of chain vaping out of one 18650. When my batteries are finished charging and at a solid 4.2V I will throw the volt meter on and post some pics of the voltage drop.

I wasn't implying that the quality wasn't available in third world countries like the Philippines, more like what you said about cost. The authentic of this mod retails for $325 for what should cost $33 that I paid. I am positive that there are capable shops in the Philippines to produce a mod like this, my disbelief is that these "modders" are actually doing it themselves at a cost that commands the prices that are asked.

You could always take multimeter to it...if you care...I took decent quality multimeter to my 26650 mod..it hit 4.2 w/out load....but to be fair..I have hybrid connector top cap where there is direct connection to the battery..

But from what I read here on the forums...a small voltage drop..you won't even notice in your vape quality..

btw..lot of these chargers are tested by flashlight freaks with their high end equipment on candlelight/power forums (flashlight, lanterns etc fanatics), Xstar, Luc are pretty accurate.

I haven't read the read the reviews on the new Intellicharger yet..

It's a 3 dollar inline voltage meter and a $40 charger, I doubt they are certified to any sort of industry standards lol.

Yes, but my inline voltage meter is spot on..granted it can't be calibrated, but it would cost more to calibrate than to replace anyway. When I say it's spot on...it's been confirmed with a multitude of different meters...from fluke 87 to dranetz..

I will pull out my multi meter later to test it. I'm more inclined to think the battery was at 4.11 volts than it was getting a drop. But I will confirm with the multi meter. It vapes like no tomorrow so I'm not really too worried, if I do get a drop I will test the authentic as well and see what that comes out to.

Don't even sweat it..if you love your mod..enjoy it. The only reader that I know are off are those cheap black ohm reader...you see on sale all the time...I tested with multimeter..the cheap ohm reader and my hand held multimeter were different
then I found these guys
Home

I kinda went overboard and got NES verison..PITA having to connect to USB power source all the time...I should of gotten the battery operated one. This ohm reader was closer to my handheld multimeter.

The only time I bust out the NES ohm reader if I'm going super sub ohm (below .3), when I do my wraps with lower gauge wire. I don't want to push my battery by accident...the rest of time I use my flea bay ohm reader special.

At the end of the day this is what counts.
