That's cuz he has a built-in low resistance ohm meter... hard wired in his brain.
If you want a nice in-line voltage tester, check out the one Vapor Moon has. It's 510 threaded so you just screw it on your mod and then screw on your atty, fire and boom, voltage reading!
I have a good multi meter, but this thing makes it super easy!

I like VaporMoon, so I hate to point people away from them, but this same type of meter is available at many sources for just over $10, vs. the $30 at Moon. For example, Inline Volt Meter - Vices Electronic Cigarettes
I heard RIP can measure the impact force of freight trains just by looking at them.
We should brand testing voltage drop without load, "RIP Trippers Style Voltage Drop Testing".
I picked mine up when I ordered my Saber. Never even thought to see if there was another option like it!
