Here is the pic of the rubber O-rings from the SI website. To bad for me that they are out of stock :(, may be i can just ask for a couple of the rings along with my next order of cartos.

Check your local hardware store. I lost a few o-rings from my body jewelry and they had just the right size.

I use the full size T3s and they don't leak.
Stick a Q-tip over the hole when filling. And after it's assembled, blow through the ... end into a tissue. Then you're set.

I exactly do this refilling my full size T3. My wife noticed that our Q-tip stash goes down quickly once I've been vaping! Hehehe! Goign to 99 cents store now for a cheaper batch of tips! :D

FWIW Just experienced my first leaky T3 nuisance. Adhesive must have given away where the glass meets the metal at the base and it got all crooked.

The annoying part is I was shopping for bike shoes. I dislike shopping and I especially dislike shopping for shoes. Threw the thing away, except for the battery and made it home. I'm still good with the T3s though.

What ohms did you get from HC Cindy?

Hottest-Kanger-Evod-Bcc-Bottom-Coil-1-6ml-Clearomizer.jpg

Just another BCC (bottom coil changeable) put out by Kanger. 1.6ml capacity. MT3 is a bigger version (2.4ml).

JoAnn says it requires an 808->eGo adapter - it screws on, but probably not deep enough to stay put.

I was wanting to try these because I've heard they aren't as airy, have better flavor, have the new head design (fewer problems, cheaper replacement heads), and I'd be less likely to break them. Plus they're on sale at HC. I get mine on Thursday/Friday.

So why do you prefer airiness? Do you take really aggressive hits? That could be what's causing your leaks with BCCs. When you suck in too hard, you could be drawing too much liquid to the coil, causing it to flood. Then it ends up on your battery post, or you end up drinking it.

I got the EVODs in 1.8 (just to have a few for X2s and eGos), but the only heads available were 2.4 - all good - I like that on Spinners. Then went back and ordered a bunch more!

Tried a couple from the first batch and they were everything I've heard and then some. If you get some, order some needle-tip bottles too (unless you syringe-fill). They're not much fun to fill without them, and you'll have to fill pretty often, I think because they wick so well (and they're tiny - 1.6ml). The gap between the center tube and tank is pretty wide, but it's pretty deep in there. If you tilt, you won't be able to fill it all the way. And I heard HC's bottles are thicker (better quality) than FT's.

I really like these (and will end up with 17 of them ), but I think the edge still goes to carto tanks and Vision VTs for me, for performance. These are just cheaper and will probably end up being my every day stuff.

Just out of curiosity, are you using some kind of adapter? I'm having a hard time filtering through the posts as to what people are doing to put the EVODs to use.

I bought one yesterday and was able to get it on my X2 with a bit of pushing. It ALMOST goes all the way down, better than some non-SI T3 heads that I had tried to use (those only caught one or two threads).

Are y'all doing the same, or using the 808-ego adapter someone mentioned? If an adapter, got a link to one so I can see (even if it's sold out)?

Thanks!

EDIT: I should add, I FREAKING LOVE this EVOD. The hits are almost as warm as my CE3s, but not as airy as the T3s. And the flavor is right in the middle (which is fine). CE3s were always a bit too hot for me, but the flavor was perfect. This is a nice compromise.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I use eVods with eGo batteries. To me, adapters seem like a temporary solution at best. Be careful not to screw your eVod onto your X2 very tight. It could push down the post on the battery or the eVod coil and could short out the battery.

There seems to be a lot of interest in eVods on this forum. I hope SI gets their own version soon.

Have you tried SI's new mini clearo yet? It's small, but it works real good.

I do use an 808->eGo adapter that I was able to find in stock at Mt. Baker Vapor, but first I screw on a sleeve/cone to hide the threads (per JoAnn's suggestion). So like this:

One thing I read on another thread about overtightening is that you can push that center post up, causing a stress crack where the mouthpiece meets the tank, then that clear top part would eventually break off. With the adapter, you wouldn't have to.

One thing I like about the adapter is that it catches any drips that might occur before they reach the battery post. Not very fond of the extra height though, but it's not bad enough not to do it, if SI X2s and Spinners are what you have.

On a side note, I have been eyeing 510 Spinners from AltSmoke just for these, but this works for me for now...

Why do you have to use two adapters?

Wish I would have seen this thread BEFORE I ordered two more of the minis. Mine has been flaky. It seems to act up when it gets low. At .4 ml, I start getting dry hits. But isn't that the point of a bottom coil clearo - to prevent this? I get the leaking sometimes too. When it's full it seems to work ok. I think the whole bottom coil thing is overrated. I haven't had one lick of a problem with the regular Volt clearos.

I just received a brand new t3 mini and loaded it up with some midnight apple my first impression is VERY good! Vapes great and I like it better than my evods and actually seems as good as my mini protank - at least first impressions. same draw, same amount of vapor and like the plastic tip better than the metal of the mini protank. Will update if my feelings change. oh, plus its shorter which is another plus for me..

ok now that I have used the T3 mini for a bit I have changed my mind a little. I do like it but not better than my evods. Its a bit airy and kind of loud when I draw on it compared to the evod and pt2 mini. I still like it but its my third pic now.

I agree. I picked up an EVOD (and a regular ego battery when my X2 broke, no thanks to the goats) and it's pretty darn nice. Quiet, nice warm draw without getting too hot.
