Hi again Hippychik. Sending you good vibes for your upcoming surgery. I've had clients who had to quit smoking for some surgeries, but they've been told that NRT is okay for them to use to quit smoking prior to surgery. I completely support your desire to get off nic because I plan on tapering off nic (I just started vaping 45 days ago), but am wondering if your MD wants you off NIC or to be tobacco free. I'd be interested in what your MD would say because knowing would help me better explain and be supportive with my clients. Of course, I'm being lazy and should be asking an MD myself, but figure since we vapors are a great community who rely on one another, I'd ask for your feedback.

nicotine is a vasoconstrictor. that constricts or reduces the lumen or size of the blood vessels. not good! circulation needs to be at its best for healing. as a nurse, it's a decision I've made, w/o the counsel of my doc

Thanks for the info, HippieChik. And Happy Thanksgiving a few hours early.
