So, I just joined ECF yesterday after a few weeks of stalking the forums. I finally smoked my last analog cigarette last night at 4pm and I am having some hardcore withdraw symptoms. I knew and know that I will continue to withdraw even when vaping, but I absolutely cannot wait until my kit comes in tomorrow. Right now I am in my Phase 1 of withdraw which is evilness. I want to kill everything and everyone around me(not literally), but I am super aggravated and easily ...... off at everything.

I'm trying desperately to be pleasant for the sake of my kids and my husband, but the can opener just received the wrath of withdraw, and it wasn't pretty lol.

What can I do to try and make my Phase 1 go easier and possibly faster, aside from sleeping all day which won't work lol? Phase 1 will last me 2-3 days until I hit Phase 2 which is massive panic attacks(I am very prone to them) and can manage those a little better than the irritation.

Also, I bought the eGo CE battery with CE4 clearo as my starter kit. I did buy a handful of CE5's rebuildable, and a few sample juices. Is there anything I should do before I take my first vape? Anything I should prepare for? I'm not much for throat hit(I like just a little but not huge), what should I expect? How do I minimize TH if there is a lot of it?

And now that I have wasted 2 minutes of you day lol, I will end with a BIG THANK YOU!!!!!

Cheers,
TT

Well, others may say different, but maybe you should give yourself a break until you get your ecig...
Unless you've come this far and don't want to give in to the craving...
What concerns me is that for a lot of people there is a learning curve when you get the pv anyway, and if you are already stressed it may make the whole experience more difficult. Not everyone just picks up their ecig and stops the cigs straight away, some need time to adjust.
Anyway, just mho, but maybe others will have better ideas.

Myrany- Thank you! It definitely isn't easy, but this is my 3rd go round with quitting. I tried to vape on the gas station e-cigs the other 2 times, and since they only lasted me about a week each, I pretty much went cold turkey both of those times as well....I know what to expect, I just can't handle this irritated state that I get in since I am usually very laid back. I quit before getting my kit because I had to honestly. Smoking the real cigs at 1.5 PAD plus the hubby's 1 PAD was getting too expensive and I had to make a choice between another few packs to get us by, or taking the kids camping this weekend. Of course I chose to put the babies first, so buying anymore cigarettes are completely out of our monthly budget. I don't mind, but I feel horrible for my husband lol he is the strong one in all of this to be putting up with my nasty withdraw symptoms. My husband on the other hand never seems to have symptoms....he acts like he has never touched a cigarette a day in his life, while I sit here and suffer. Sometimes men have it so easy!

Plum I could not agree more, and I may take my neighbor up on his offer for a few rolled smokes of his lol

I suggest you go pick up a disposable "cigalike" to help curb your cravings until you have your kit. Not only for the sake of your family, but you as well. This way you don't cave in and buy more analogs before getting your kit. Its hard enough to quit without making it harder on yourself. Just my thoughts though...:p

I am going to be honest I didn't walk away from cigs until I had my kit in hand. Once it was I vaped like a fiend and really didn't go through that big withdrawal nightmare.

You are a brave and strong person to try and go cold turkey even for just a few days.

/salute

Yeah, I didn't switch until I had device in hand either. Go get a disposable Njoy or Blu 1 time use ecig from a smoke shop or something.

If you still have the batterys and chargers from your old sets maybe you could grab a few cartos for them? Might be cheaper depending on which ones.

Congrats, Good Luck, and geez, you're making it harder on yourself!! LOL.
I didn't even think about quitting until I already had a vape I liked.
In fact, the REASON I quit smoking was because I realized after just a few days of doing both that I like vaping better - once I had a flavor I enjoyed (fortunately I did, right away), a couple cigarettes tasted nasty in comparison - so I stopped smoking.

I hope your kit arrives. I hope it works well, tastes good, and eliminates your crave.
And don't be toooo hard on yourself!

Tornadotwist- as Myrany said, you're a braver woman than I to quit the analogs before you start vaping. Why don't you run to the nearest smoke shop or gas station and buy a cheap disposable kit? They may not be great, but it could take the edge off...and you'll know that something better is coming.
That said, I had my last analog on day 3 of vaping. Hubby is still smoking/vaping combo, but I was very happy only vaping. (although, I kept wondering for a bit if I wanted to "try" a cig again). Now, 2.5 months analog-free, I really don't want to smoke...want to vape though...a lot!
Remember you'll have to charge that ego--probably a couple hours. And whereas a cig will give you that "ahhhhhhh!" moment, vaping does not seem to have such an immediate affect. It's like alcohol-the first sip is...nice, but the 2nd glass is where the "ahhhhh, much better!" falls into place.
So, go, go! Spend $20 on (ugh) blu, or whatever disposable they've got!
Good luck! You CAN do this!

Gotta give you LOTS of credit! Quitting without having the ecig & vapor or some other type of aid on hand is very difficult.

Have a regular cigarette or 2, OR, go grab a couple of disposable ecigs at your local gas station or convenience store (in a flavor that you think you'll like with a higher nicotine strength, if there is a choice) to get you thru the nite, so to speak.
Note also that the craving for a real cigarette is many times more powerful than the craving for vapor in my experience, once you get going.
Wishing you the best, and....please go easy on the family and don't hurt anybody in the meantime!!! lol..... (I do feel your pain.)
