Thanks everyone! My husband is nodding like a mad man when I told him you all suggested I get a disposable e-cig lol. My kit will be here tomorrow, so it should tie me over until then. Now to run and get a cigalike and a new can opener :p

You go girl!!!

Remember we are all pulling for you. If you need to vent or need help never fear to come to us here.

I smoked until the very day I got the ecigs in the mail. I bought 2 Ego twists with Kanger T3's and the vape was great. The nic was at 16-18 then. I bought 2 to make sure 1 was ALWAYS charged and ready to go. If you work at home then you may be OK with just 1, but when it's charging it seems like forever.

I recommend having 2...1 charging and 1 in use. Get a stronger nic for now and step down as the months pass. I did not touch a single analog after the very 1st vape. You can do the same, just think about your kids and spouse like I did. I finally realized that my addiction to analogs was suicide. I used/use that term to myself because suicide is something I consider the most selfish thing a human being can do. It's also something that I think we don't have the right to do spiritually, morally or ethically. It worked for me to remind myself of this. I couldn't use the costs to quit, the smell, the feeling it gave me and my body or the outcast I felt at work or in public. I had to use my mind.

My mantra was and still is..."I can, I will and I must!!!!!"

You can, you will and you must!!!

Believe me, trust what the others have said, and grab the disposables. They helped a great deal and I knew it was, at least possible, to try to quit. But not until I got my Triton ego-style battery and tank kit, did I finally give up the analogs. Then there was no doubt that I had quit.

There is a world of difference between the 2, but the cigalikes were enough to help me along until the big batteries came ;)

I just hope you have a flavor you can live with... remember, even if all of the samples you got suck, don't give up -- there are literally hundreds of flavors waiting to be tried, and a few will make you forget about ever going back to stinkies.

To be honest, switching to ecig is kind of hard in the beginning but staying committed and sticking to it is even harder. It's not just the habitual and nicotine that satisfies the mental and physical aspect of it but its also the smell and other factors that an analog has that a Ecig does not. But if you are really serious about it and want to make better of it, not just for yourself but for the ones you love, you will do it. It is like learning something new, you won't know everything about in an instant but if you practice and try you will become good. I believe that you will be fine. Good luck! =)

So, I bought 2 lotus disposables since the Njoy's for me are way to strong and TH like a mother&&^** lol. I did also get a new can opener, but this time it was NOT a manual one. I did buy a backup 1300mah battery for home to go with the 650 I bought. I did get 2 samples of RY4 and blueberry so we will see how that goes. I am in the process of ordering my husband his own kit, in which we will be getting a few 10ml bottles of juice from novocig, since they are like $1.30 each. I want to see what cheap flavors I like before I spend too much on flavors. Next month's order will be more CE5's for both hubby and I, and a spare battery for him. He is a very LIGHT smoker, so I'm thinking 2 650's would be okay. I may end up getting a twist next month as well lol.

Btw: Does anyone have any idea's what types of cases I can get for these? I need to keep them in something so I can keep them away from the kiddos while not in use?

The disposables are rubbish and the flavours are poor but they will give you the 'Hit' you need until your proper kit arrives and you get proper relief and flavour.

I found that after the proper kit arrived it was only first thing in the morning (when I would have had my first stinky) that I wanted to kill people and that slowly tapers off. Now 8 weeks in to vaping I don't need a nic hit until an hour after waking and its still getting longer day by day

A few days on the new kit and you will wonder why you hadn't tried vaping before. Just think of all the money you will save (and spend on flavours)

FOr your juices and parts you don't get into every 10 minutes how about a locking toolbox. small trays up top for little bits and the big space below for juice bottles.

FOr carrying I just use a makeup case LOL.

I am not saying you should not quit, but I would do it in diff way.
I quit 3 times. This is the third time. The last 2 times, I quit cold turkey without help. Each time for 2 years.
This time, I do it with vaping. First I ordered and tried the vaping simultaneously with smoking, but slowed down a bit on the smoking. In the mean time, I find out what is for me. I went from ego stuff to mod, and from CE stuff to other clearomizers, and to genesis type tank. I think the most convenience is the protank, no leak when you take it out. After I am set on vaping equipments and juice for a at least months, then I stop buying the real cigarette. Also, I mix my own juice. I have my own cabinet and stock them up to make sure I won't be out of anything for a long time, so there is no "reason" for me to run out and buy a cigarette. After around a month of having from 0 to 5 cigarettes a day, I have been down to none for around 2 weeks. Now, I want a cigarette so bad. This is why I vape continuously every minute except for the time I am in bed.
Good luck.

So, I just joined ECF yesterday after a few weeks of stalking the forums. I finally smoked my last analog cigarette last night at 4pm and I am having some hardcore withdraw symptoms. I knew and know that I will continue to withdraw even when vaping, but I absolutely cannot wait until my kit comes in tomorrow. Right now I am in my Phase 1 of withdraw which is evilness. I want to kill everything and everyone around me(not literally), but I am super aggravated and easily ...... off at everything.

I'm trying desperately to be pleasant for the sake of my kids and my husband, but the can opener just received the wrath of withdraw, and it wasn't pretty lol.

What can I do to try and make my Phase 1 go easier and possibly faster, aside from sleeping all day which won't work lol? Phase 1 will last me 2-3 days until I hit Phase 2 which is massive panic attacks(I am very prone to them) and can manage those a little better than the irritation.

Also, I bought the eGo CE battery with CE4 clearo as my starter kit. I did buy a handful of CE5's rebuildable, and a few sample juices. Is there anything I should do before I take my first vape? Anything I should prepare for? I'm not much for throat hit(I like just a little but not huge), what should I expect? How do I minimize TH if there is a lot of it?

And now that I have wasted 2 minutes of you day lol, I will end with a BIG THANK YOU!!!!!

Cheers,
TT

Maybe you have your own plan but I don't know why anyone would subject themselves to such torment. I have tried to quit so many times and felt like you do right now or worse. I got my starter kit and did both for a good while. I just kept lowering the number of real cigs and increasing the amount of vaping. I am not lying to you.... it got to the point where I thought the cigarette I'd bought for so many years tasted like dog squeeze. When all my cigs where gone (I wasn't gonna waste the money I'd spent on them) but I was so glad when they were gone. I had no withdrawal, no bad feelings and my family and friends were safe. I've lost weight, started walking and just feeling so much better. I'm still new so I know I sound all "rah rah" but I really think for the first time in 40 years that I can stay smokefree. All because of vaping. I hope your kit gets to you soon and good luck with your new and improved addiction. Sorry I've written so much but my heart just went out to you because I know all to well just how you are feeling.

There are tons of cases floating around out there. Most B&M stores carry them or take a stroll through Wally World in the make up section or sporting goods(for him lol) section for cases.

Try here: E-Cig Cases & Lanyards

I got a nice Leather case that holds all my kit and is portable enough to keep in my pocket (and away from the kids). My wife prefers the Lanyards
