Welcome JCamp, congrats on making the switch. I am almost three weeks in after a similar time smoking and I am not looking back. Cant hardly stand the smell of analogs now.

If you have any questions, comments, whatever or just need some support, I have found the members here very accommodating. It seems as though vaping quickly becomes a hobby / obsession rather than just a catalyst for quitting :)

Congratulations and welcome to ECF! :) You CAN do this. I've been vaping for 6.5 weeks. Last cigarette was 5 weeks ago today.

Just for grins and giggles, I tried a drag from my fiancé's cigarette last Wednesday... Ewwwww yak! Couldn't even really inhale it. Started coughing and gagging. Between that and the dirt-and-dog-.... taste, it almost reminded me of my very first cig. :D Seriously, seriously gross! My fiancé is a half-smoker/half-vaper. Way better than the 1.5 PAD he was smoking, now he's down to just a few a day.

Vaping is way more fun and enjoyable than smoking ever dreamed of being. Toughest part: finding that perfect flavor. I believe it's out there... somewhere.

Welcome JCamp33, Awesome you are getting off analog's. I am also in your shoes. I started vaping 2 days ago, and am enjoying it like nothing else. I did research for about 2 weeks, then placed my orders. There are tons of youtube reviews on different juices and equipment. And more forum than a single person could ever read.

Congrats. I have been vaping for 6 months now. The first 2 weeks, i really vaped alot. There is many side effects from not smoking the analog. One of them is phelgm which may cause frequent coughing. This is a result of not smoking the analog and not because of the vaping. I checked with the doctor that it is a normal symptom as the body is doing a clean up and expelling the phelgm from your body. The phelgm will tickle down your throat and airway which makes you have persistent cough. It takes 6 months to a year for these symptoms to disappear. So, persevere and never give up. Good luck.

So you get back on the horse and do it again! You just keep trying till you make it. :)
I caved in at about 4:30 this morning and went and bought a pack of reds. I smoked one and it tasted horrible, it seems to have instantly made me feel worse. This .... is hard, Im trying and after just smoking a real cig again I remember why I wanted so badly to quit. God I hope I can get through this.
