BWB's Conundrum! I felt the cold/bronchitis thing coming on the last day or so, throat hurt like hell during the night. Coughing, can't taste ANY of my e liquids. I could only draw a teeny, little bit otherwise the TH would make me wince.

I tried vaping BWB's 555 exotic, Highbrow's Eve's Delight, AVE's Boba's Bounty and Gorilla juice, but could only take tiny little tokes or wince in pain on the inhale. Just now I put on some Conundrum and.........so good. Can't really taste it (Waaa!) but don't feel any TH aka pain so I'm back in business. My only sorrow is that I can only get a menthol-y sensation, can't taste all the delicious fruitiness of the e juice.

Anyway, I know taste and experience is different for everyone but for me I can continue vaping while sick with a cold/virus/bronchial thingie using Conundrum!

I got sick with a virus - sinus junk and then it moved to my chest - i could not vape. It just disgusted me. could not smoke either. First time in my life i have ever not wanted to smoke when I was sick.

as for your question - your doc will tell you its better not to. but its way better than smoking. I say only do it if it feels OK. If it makes your congestion worse...stop.

The nicotine content can make vapor fairly harsh. When I first started vaping, I tried 18mg nic and it was like you described. I could only take tiny puffs and even then, it hurt my throat. Since then I have also found that some flavors just do this on their own, but the nicotine level seems to be the deciding factor most of the time. PG can also make the vapor a little harsher, and it personally dries out my throat, so I use 60 - 70% VG. Another thing you may want to consider as kotje said.

BTW - I hope you feel better soon!

Can you do it? Sure. Are you masochistic? That's for you to decide.

It really isn't a different matter than trying to smoke while you are sick. If it just ain't workin' there is no point in forcing the issue. If you are that sick vaping - or smoking - is seldom a priority. I just went through this with a bad upper respiratory cold. During one phase there seemed to be little point to taking one drag on my e-cig, if it meant I was going to be coughing that drag out for two minutes after.

As far as the flavor loss goes it's probably cold related but all vapers seem to go through short lived phases of "can't taste anything." I have to head for a strong menthol or clove when that happens to me. The only two things that get through a "taste block" for me.

No offence taken, it IS a goofy topic, but I'm a pathetic nicotine addict and I'm guessing I'm not the only smoker who has continued to smoke with a cold or bronchitis, despite the discomfort.

I primarily posted after reading lots of posts on the subject and wanted to share with the forum a juice that will work when you're jonesin' for the nic but are having these temporary symptoms. That's all. :D
