I really enjoy the fact I have managed to stop smoking regular cigarettes. I also really enjoy the first few drags off my 510 Joye with a freshly primed atty and cart...

But then after about the next 5 to 10 tokes, it becomes so damn frustrating.

It dries out, and you don't get crap. You prod around at the cartridge trying to get more liquid to wick up. You put a drop or two in the atty and n the cart. You put it back together and AAAAHHHHHHHhhhh.. good smokes for the next two or three puffs... then frustration again..

I've tried cart mods. The best I've had so far is a straw and using cotton, but it still doesn't wick fast enough..

Is there ANYTHING on the market that isn't frustrating that you can easily refill and just enjoy?

vaping is a great concept, but constantly refilling, and rewetting everything is just too fidgety.. Why isn't there something the you can press a button on and it feeds it for you?

I keep trying to think of an idea that would allow you to keep plenty of fluid in it, and it drips every two or three drags, but I can't seem to come up with a good idea, that is also portable, and doesn't take a any fooling around with to make work any time you want to use it.

I just want something I can load up in the morning, drop in my pocket and pull out and use any time during the day I want without having to screw with it, and it works the 50th time like it did the first time.

Try thinning you liquid just a little, also you may have to much filler. If cart floods you know you thinned to much or not enough filler. This is why so many vapers drip.

What do you think your liquid with?

I do have a couple flavors that work a lot better than others, but they still tend to not wick too well after maybe 10 drags until you sit it down for 10 or 20 minutes.

It still seems to be a pain. I wish someone would invent something that holds enough liquid for a day or two and hits the last time like the first time, and the same every time inbetween.

I just use a couple drops of regular water to thin and thicken with glycerin. Also I use Fluval.

Thanks. I may try a little water and see how that flows..

Im going to keep experimenting with different material for wicks too, but so far nothing seems foolproof.

I did have a cool idea though, and no idea why someone hasn't come up with it yet..

It would be like a vial with an end open that has a thin membrane or wick on it that would saturate the atty tip faster than wicking through other materials yet doesn't leak. You could just drop that in the cart and refill once empty. I would bet someting like that could last a fairly long time, and keep a constant flow of liquid.

The KR808 is an auto battery though right? I want something that is manual, and without having to buy adapters and such.. I just want something I can take out of the package and use all day without fooling around with it.

You can get manual batteries for the KR808 as well so you aren't just stuck using autos. I have the KR808 and I love it because I don't really have to fiddle with it all that much. I refill however many carts I think I'll need for the day before I go to bed and I'm good to go for the next day.

The carts sound like they would be much better for you. There is a loss of flavor as you go, but it's more of a gradual thing rather than 3 good hits and nothing. Anything you get is going to require some fiddling with, but I probably spend about 10 minutes a day filling, cleaning, etc. then I'm good to go, vaping the rest of the day!

Sounds like maybe I should buy an 808 kit anf give that a try too... I just know I love my 510 for the fisrt few drags, but after that it's not too enjoyable unless I constantly drip it.

I'm one of those people that would pull out a smoke and stick it in my mouth and it hung there until I finished it doing what ever it was I was doing, so it was basically hassle free...

While sitting at home watching TV or at the computer dripping isn't so bad, but when out and about it just isn't going to work.. I really wish someone would make an auto dripper that just worked with no fooling aound with it.

My KR808D-1 is manual. If you have money you can just buy prefilled cartomizers all the time and never have to refill. Or you can take just 2-3 minutes each morning to fill your all the cartomizers you will use in a day by using the Carto Cap Filler Method :

Thanks, I'm going to order an 808. I don't have a problem with filling carts once a day, I just have a problem with having to mess with them all day to make them work consistantly..

That all I'm after, is consistancy without constantly dripping or refilling all day.

Apparently the only thing that is pretty consistant is not an e-Cig at all. It is this:

No. It's not a ..... It's a kids toy called the Wizard Stick - a hand-held fog machine. :D

Check this thread out. The Wizard - Why not?

For $15 you can vape like Cheech and Chong all day...

I've been very happy with my 510, but I decided to give cartomizers a try just for the heck of it. Instead of buying a whole kit, I simply got a 510-to-808 adapter and a 5-pack of prefilled cartos from Good Prophets.

The cartos, in a word, suck. There is some flavor, but the vapor is so weak that if it weren't for the sweetness, you wouldn't even know it was working. Tomorrow I'm going to disassemble one, clean the filler real good, and try refilling it with better juice. Hopefully that will improve the situation, but I still doubt it will be anywhere near as good as the 510.

Apparently (and I wish I read this before placing my order), prefilled cartos are very hit-and-miss. Well, these missed big time. There are too many people who swear by cartos for them all to be this bad, so I guess I just got unlucky. According to Kent C (one of the forum experts), the blank cartos from Heaven Gifts are some of the best, and reliably give good vape with VG liquid. I'll have to try those next time. If you're going to try cartos, do yourself a favor and get a good brand the first time, because the bad ones are bad not great.

EDIT: I retract my statement about these cartos sucking. It seems that you can actually get an acceptable (if not excellent) pull off of them if you let the coil heat up until it starts to sizzle, then inhale slowly. The vapor production is still significantly less than that of the 510 atty, but at least it's usable.

How hard are you dragging on it? A slow, steady inhale is the best. Also, with a standard cart, about 4-5 big hits in a row is all I can get before having to top off. One of the things that frustrated me initially was that I couldn't puff on it like an analog. You have to give the atomizer a chance to "catch up." Mods help a little but if you're constantly puffing then you're going to be constantly topping off. Have you tried dripping?
