I love my EVOD and somewhat like my Smoktech eGo backup. Yesterday when buying new juice at my very cool B&M I tried a guys mod and wow...way too much for me. I am a quite small female and honestly just holding the thing made me feel like I was holding my fiance's ratchet tools. I took a hit and it blew me away. I didn't choke or anything but wow...the flavor...the CLOUD! I thought for sure after trying a mod I would want one but nope....I am happy (for now) with my pen style eGo's and the simplicity of worrying about nothing buy what flavor I am going to try next.

The intensity of your hit is probably due to the way he had it set up. His mod was probably running higher voltage or lower resistance than you're used to. If you found one in a size you liked you could set yours up to hit more like your ego. I don't remember what it was called but I saw one on fasttech a while back that was basically an ego body that took 14500s

I must admit I am in total agreement with you. I have a friend who is into all of the Mods and "clouds of vapor", too. Unfortunately for me, I DID choke and cough when I tried his. I understand he probably has it set higher than I would but I just don't see any reason why I need a heavier battery than my Twist with a ProTank and my very enjoyable "cloud of vapor" -- they work for me

Personally I got really fed up with my original eGo/CE4 setup. Battery life screwed after 3 months - also the non-rebuildable, glued together plastic clearomisers I was using hardly lasted any time. It was too prone to flooding and/or dry hits, and I really resented having to constanly throw away things that I had paid for!

I guess it's like shaving. One of those gas station cig-a-likes that last a day at best, they are like a BiC razor. Throwaway.
So then you upgrade to an evod or eGo, that's a Gillette 6 blade thing, lasts longer but still disposable.
After a while you'll end up wanting a cut-throat razor and a sharpening strap, 'cause it'll give you the best shave on the planet and will last forever. That's like an APV (aka mod)

I was like you when I first started. Why the heck would I want to walk around with an 8 inch stainless steel tube glued to my lips. Well anyway you can really compact mods these days, the Provari mini is quite portable. So why use an APV? Because it gives you an amazing vape, consistently every single time. Because it doesn't waste e-juice like the non-mods, and once you experience a superior delivery device like a Protank or RBA on a decent mod, you realise that you weren't really tasting your juices properly before or getting the full effect of the nicotine, so you WERE wasting your juice. It really is night and day. Nescafe instant versus freshly ground Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee beans. Fully skimmed milk versus Jersey Gold Top. Vegemite versus M.. actually I won't go there LOL

When I first got my mod, and fired her up I vaped an 18mg e-juice - too weak for me on my eGo (I usually go for 24mg) and holy headrush batman, the nicotine rush was beautiful. The flavour was delicious. I never looked back. Ain't used the eGo since.
