I've smoked for 32 years, and apparently I've just been waiting for e-cigs to show up. A buddy turned me on to them a couple of weeks ago, and as usual I've gone completely overboard. I currently have about $300 invested in 30+ flavors and jars of PG, VG, EM, ACV, DWV, ABC, DEF, etc.... along with countless little bottles of failed vile concoctions scattered all over the place that I'll never inhale or toss out.

I love it. :)

Well, even $300 is not really overboard if it works to get you off of cigarettes! I am a fairly recent "convert" myself, but I am trying not to jump in both feet first just yet! I currently vape a pretty traditional "cig-a-like" and am happy/satisfied with it...however, I do tend to get a little OCD with new things like this, so we'll see!

I was at the casino last weekend and sat next to a woman who pulled a small ego out of her purse while I was vaping my green smoke...got to admit that curiosity and a wee bit of envy hit me.

At any rate, vaping for me is the ONLY thing that is close enough to smoking to make me satisfied. Good for you, and consider the $300 an investment in both your health and your financial dependence on cigarettes!

Thanks for the welcome!

I've spent probably 100 hours reading on this forum over the last week or two, and have absorbed an IMMENSE amount of info...everything from FDA politics to some acid/alkaline stuff that re-awakened high-school chemistry that's been dormant for decades. Being the engineer/Bill-Nuy-science-guy type, I've immediately set about to re-invent the art of flavor-mixing. (Yes, I'm being highly sarcastic; I can barely make a mess right now. :p)

What a great forum. Thanks to everyone who has submitted so much useful information for us vaping newbs!

Greeting: Welcome to the forum and the world of vaping, new meatbag.

Statement: You sound like you're having as much (or more) fun as most of us with it too. Keep up the good work.

Suggestion: Seeing as you have self-made ammo you may wish to invest as well in a few anti-personnel turrets. I have a few small portable designs suitable for use when ambushing a Jedi or other pesky meatbag squads. They are incendiary which takes into account most meatbag crack squads come in wearing armor. I also highly recommend fragmentary land-mines and mesh tangle fortification. All quite effective. This will make it most difficult for even a well-armed squad of meatbags to penetrate your position and steal your smoke juice.

I'm enjoying the DIY stuff, but can't seem to get rid of the perfumy (is that a word?) taste of the VG no matter what I do. This is some Humco stuff I got at wally world, so it may not be as pure as the online VG.

I have more PG and VG arriving tonight from VZ, so I'm going to do some comparisons and try to come up with a PG/VG mix that has a flat, neutral flavor if possible.
