Hey Cracker, Welcome to ECF! I'm in the North End and I can't tell you how irritated I am with the silly King Co rules. Argg. As if the bars & restaurants in Seattle need more rules. Lately I've noticed many of them are full of empty tables at a time of year they are usually full up at lunch time.
By the way, there is a cigar store in Lynnwood on 196th that sells 510s and a few e-juices if you're ever desperate for supplies. Not my favorite juices, but it's nice to have a local place if I'm seriously out of something. He's on 196th the "Cigar Box" - just West of I5.

Thanks for the heads up on the Lynnwood shop technovapir, my parents live in Edmonds, so I get down there fairly often.

In regards to my atty problem, I just saw a thread where Phee "de-wicks" atty's for dripping...and yep....that's exactly what I did. So now four of my five atty's are only good for dripping. Damn.

Anyways, I'll be ordering some more juice this week, and will either order more regular atty's or upgrade to the mega. Not sure yet. Just bummed I'm stuck dripping for the meanwhile (I like it, just not all the time).

Live and learn.LOL.

OK,

So after I messed up 4 of my 5 atty's, I figured the last one would still work as it should. But it's not. I am wondering if it is because all my juice is 100% VG. Anyone think this could be the problem?

Basically, my cartridge is full, but it's not wicking the juice down to the atty. If I top it off, it only takes one or two drops, and then will vape for 5-6 puffs. Same thing with dripping, but after that it tastes really burnt....really bad.

I have some new atty's and juice coming Monday, some of it 80/20 PG/VG, so hopefully that will make my carts useful again, but if the liquid in my carts won't wick down, I need a new plan. Dripping all day is a PITA.

Hi Cracker, Happy Newyear!
I have pretty much switched to cartomizers myself. Got tired of trying to blow the old juice out of the attys and trying to get the cartridges to be full & feed right...etc...arggg. Now I pretty much just buy blank cartos and fill them with juice. When they're dead I toss them, but usually I get quite a few refills out of them. I know some folks clean them and make them last longer than I do, but I'm pretty lazy. I keep some attys around for those days I'm in the mood to just drip...but mostly I'm now a cartomizer convert!
By the way - one thing I DO with my attys is blow them out using one of those blue rubber bulb things that are supposed to be used to put water in your ears..if you've ever had a kid with an ear ache you know what I'm talking about! You can cut the end off of one so it fits the atty and use it to blow out the old goop thats in there. Anyhow, Good Luck!

Very neat idea, I'm gonna file that away for future reference :)

I can run about 10ml of juice through one of mine before it's had it, about 10 refills, but you don't want to run them all the way down before refilling, kills them faster, start tasting bad permanently. I wouldn't call it random, but it's not entirely consistent either. That's just my experience with the make and model I use.

Since cartomizer life is completely random, refill counts are random as well.

In other words, pick a number between 1 and......

Hi all,

First post, but I've been lurking for a while. I've used a variety of cartos and would add my agreement here. I get a ton of refills if I clean them well. The other thing is that most of my juices gunk up the coils quite a bit, requiring even more cleaning and dry burning.. I also try to refill them with a juice in the same taste family..

The CE2 cartos are the only ones I've seen you can "dry burn". Doing that to one of mine would kill it instantly. In fact, one time out of habit, I stuck a new empty one on a battery forgetting to fill it. One dry hit and it was fried. The taste was incredibly horrible too.

The juice can definitely make a difference. I've used some juices that kill my cartos really fast. I avoid those.

What worked for me? When I first got my e-cig I told myself it wasn't going to replace smoking. I told myself I would just cut down on smoking and hopefully the e-cig would take the edge off my more severe craving moments. I told myself if I could just get down to a few cigs (analog) a day, I'd be happy.

But something happened when I took that first drag off my Yeti 510. My brain seemed to wrap around it immediately.

That is exactly what happened to me. As a two pack a day smoker, I figured if I could just cut my smoking down to a pack a day I would be saving money. My smoking was really getting out of hand. What happened instead was I cut my smoking down to 4-5 a day immediately. Soon it was just a couple a day which I really didn't need. I think the only reason I continued to smoke them was that being a smoker was such an integral part of my life for so long that psychologically the thought of not being a smoker anymore was the equivalent to losing part of my identity, lol. I think I'm over that now.

I actually have to report a really good experience last friday (new year's). I work in a restaurant, and because my atty's are all messed up, I bought a pack of analogs, because I knew I would be too busy to drip, and didn't want the frustration. I smoked them all night long, just like I used to, and at the end of the night, when it was all over and time to go to the bar and celebrate with everybody else, I was so happy to vape again. My lungs felt clogged and I developed a wheeze after only smoking analogs for a couple of hours. Not only that, but I really didn't like the taste. This is huge for me. I still have analog envy when I'm only vaping, but now I know which one I like better and it is my eGo.

Last night I started my own newbie thread to give myself the 5 post minimum so that I could actually contribute to threads that are important to me (mainly the new King county ban on e-cigs indoors).

My thread was deleted for "spamming for post count", and I understand. I have nothing against moderators doing their job, and as a member of other forums, I do respect the admins.

My little bit of history: I became interested in e-cigs about 4 weeks ago, after a bit of searching I found ecf. I didn't become a member because I knew that most of the newbie questions I had were probably already answered somewhere on the forum, and I am familiar with the search button.

After getting as informed as I felt the need to be (I did notice that many vaper's move across a scale of products gradually throughout their journey), I ordered a Joye eGo, with 2 pass-thru batts, extra atty's, carts, carto's, and juice. All in all I am quite satisfied with my hardware.

I am a pack-a-day smoker, and my packs are $10 each. In the last 14 days I have bought 3 packs. A savings of $110. As of yesterday I am not buying anymore unless my ecig dies and I am desperate.

I noticed that when I have a pack, I still like them better than vaping and they can disappear
pretty quick, but when I don't, I'm just fine with my eGo. So screw that. I'm not buying any more smokes.

If anybody reading this is interested in making a stink in Seattle, I am contemplating it, I think the BOH overstepped their authority.

Otherwise, I'll post here and there in this thread until I'm allowed to post elsewhere, and my apologies to the mods for my earlier behavior.

I hate the minimum posts requirement as well, been a member for months and didn't want to spam.. well i guess i'm gonna start an introduction thread now.

That's HUGE!! Kudos! You are going to be analog-free!!
