hello everyone,

I have spent some time reading in the ECF library looking for a PV that runs at 3, 6, or maybe 7 volts and has an AVS just like The GG. But since The GG is out of stock, what are the closest commercial alternatives to The GG out there? Or better, do you know a reputable vendor that has The GG in stock?

I noticed that The GG is compatible with most of the atomizers and cartomizers, which kept me thinking about this question: If I found the PV that suits me, what atomizer should I go for? the 510's? the 801's? the 901's? etc...

I'm using the 510 trial kit, in addition to the njoy penstyle. The 510 gave me more vapor production with less flavor, compared the njoy penstyle 801. I like both of them, but I feel like I need a PV that can combine flavor and vapor, with decent throat hit.

Thanks for the advice. I acknowledge the fact The GG is for advanced users, but I used to smoke analogs a lot, not mentioning the hookah, so I can handle strong throat hits, in fact I love strong throat hits :D

But I'll look it up and consider it

Something a lot of people, including myself, wind up realizing... is that even some standard e-cigs will give you more throat hit than a cigarette.

My Kr808 can totally spank a cigarette in terms of throat hit. And that's just a standard 3.7v battery. Nothing special.

A 5v mod? I haven't tried one, but I'd be willing to bet it packs quite a punch.

Standard models are cheap. Try a kit with a passthrough and see if you like that first

I totally agree with what you've said. But since I’m living in Kuwait, and it takes 2 weeks for the shipment to arrive at the Kuwaiti port, get inspected, sniffed by dogs, and cleared from any bureaucratic customs' laws, bla, bla, bla... do you get the picture? :)
I don't want to wait 2 weeks for get something I doubt satisfying my need for good vapor production, flavor, and throat hit. That’s why I need to be sure of what I'm about to wait 2 weeks for.
But still, I will consider your advice and see what models are out there with a passthrough. Thank you for your advice.

Thank you for your recommendation. I took a look at a video by "smokie" on Youtube regarding the Kaji box. I like to concept, but do all of these mods leak and make a mess around? I'm afraid that this problem could bring me back to my childhood memories when I used to drop a few drips of juice on my clothes all the time. I guess I could reason with myself and say: "well, its e-liquid, not a juice"

There is zero mess with the Kaji. Period. None. Nada. Nil. Zip. No cartridge or cartomizer (any Edition) can beat the taste or throat hit of a freshly dripped atomizer. The Kaji gives you this with an all day supply of liquid and an all day battery. You'll thank me in the morning.;)

Yep, no mess at all with the Kaji mod :D

AllAboutTheVapor on Youtube said that I have to pick one flavor if I want to use the Journeyman. I can't include links to my post now as I have 4 posts so far. But go to Youtube and type the title: "The Journeyman Followup How to Refill". He said it at 0:46

Did he mean I have to pick one flavor to use on the Journeyman forever? Or did he mean only one flavor without mixing it with other flavors (e.g mixing cola flavor e-liquid with vanilla flavor e-liquid)?

Averroes, the absolute best atty I have used is the LR 306 from NHaler Low Resistance Atomizers (901, 306, 510 and 801). I would also pick up a drip tip for it because they are hot little buggers. Colored 306 Drip Tips. You'll also need some batteries. My preference are these AW LiMN 18650's. AW IMR18650 1600mAh LiMN rechargeable lithium battery
510's work very well but these 306's just blow clouds and taste great. If you decide to buy a Kaji and go with LR atties, do not select the 5v option. Believe me, 3.7v is more than enough. I would also go with the 6ml bottle size. Good luck.

Many thanks for the help. I really appreciate your assistance and for providing me with the links. I've made a small comparison between the total cost of buying the kaji box and The GG with AFS on Vaporkings.com and found that The GG kit would cost me:

(1) GG Telescopic Storm with brass telescopic center section: $158.50
(1) GG AVS tank with plastic mouthpiece: $79.50
(2) GG 901 3.7 Volt iAtty: $13.00 each
(2) AW Orange 18650 3.7v 1600 mAh LiMN rechargeable battery: $ 12.95 each
(1) TrustFire TR-001 multi-function lithium-ion battery charger: $17.95
Total: $307.85 + $4.95 shipping costs = $312.8

while if I wanted to buy the Kaji box, the costs according to the links you've provided me with are:
(1) Kaji: $140 (6 ml bottle model) + $8.55 Shipping costs = $148.55
(2) AW IMR18650 1600mAh LiMN rechargeable lithium battery + DSD 2 Station Charger: $21 + $11.99 + $6.75 shipping costs = $39.74
(2) Colored 306 Drip Tips: $15 (shipping costs included with the LRs)
(2) Low Resistance Atomizers 306: $18 + $7 shipping costs = $25
Total: $228.29

So the difference is $84.51 excluding e-liquid costs and assuming that all of The GG parts are in stock and no additional costs have to be recorded. Not bad. But is there anything missing from the two lists? For example, do I need an adapter for the 306 atty to be attached to the Kaji? And is there anything else I need to consider before ordering? Keep in mind that I need to wait 2 weeks for the delivery to arrive at the Kuwaiti port.

And many thanks again.

The only thing I would add is that, due to the long wait and hassles of shipping into Kuwait, I'd buy about 6 atty's. Those are the only part of the equation that will wear out. I haven't killed a 306 atty yet (3 weeks) but, like all atty's, their lifespan is precarious. You do not need an adapter for 306's. They have the same threading as 510's do.

Really, both the GGTS/AVS and Kaji are both valid choices. And I agree most emphatically with getting the 6ml bottle option on the Kaji. It's really a matter of personal preference of size, shape and aesthetics.

The only advantage that the GGTS would have is the ability to natively take any atty or battery in 2nd gen mode (without the self juicing AVS). The GGTS is kind of like the swiss army knife of vaping.

I need something to take out with me during the day without dripping

I'm going to also suggest cartomziers to go with your device of choice at this point beacause of this statement.

You fill one up, you vape it for hours, no dripping, no cartridges to top off. You take a couple of them with you, you're set for an entire day.

I use the standard Boge cartomizers with great success.

Bianca, I agree with you, especially with those Boge 510 carto's. They are very good. I will say though that the flavor, vapor and throat hit are much better on the Kaji. I've been spoiled using it and just can't go back to the carto's.

Fair enough. :)
