I have used my friends nemesis but I'm not really into the design on it. I know I could wire wheel it off but it felt really flimsy. I was looking at a chi you what's your thoughts?

The Chi is heavier than most of the others, but they do make a flat top for them that helps with that. Mine is brass with solid silver contact screws, and I will say that it made me add an additional wrap to my coils.
So, of the three clones that I have, the Chi hits the hardest, the Caravela is best overall when used as a pure mechanical, and the Nemesis is the most versatile, especially if you want to use a Kick.

I have been looking at the Stingray X, but I'm afraid it's locking ring is threaded 20x.5 which means lots of turns to lock it like the nemesis. It does look good though.

The StingrayX clone indeed does have fine threads on the lock ring..........but with it's short throw switch you fortunely don't have far to travel; unlike my Nemesis which takes almost an hour.

I am not a big fan of the Nemesis Either. The two mech mods I've really enjoyed, was the Caravela mod and the King mod (no logo) The caravela's might be a bit picky with different batteries, since there is a fixed size center pin, but that is rectified by having a slight gap by the locking ring. The King V2 mod I love, but it's a matte finish and a bit heavy. Both have very good locking mechanisms with a 1/2 turn to lock, but I use the King mod more because you can set it down on a table without having to worry about it firing or if it's locked.

I have been looking at the Stingray X, but I'm afraid it's locking ring is threaded 20x.5 which means lots of turns to lock it like the nemesis. It does look good though. The SS 49 mod looks nice, but I'm afraid it'll be finiky with the batteries due to it's design. This Cartel mod looks nice too, but man, it looks HEAVY.

As far as an RDA, the Patriot is good if you don't mind drilling out your own airholes.. it's price is right, has dual o-rings, and uses a phillips. The Helios might be easier to work on.

I have a legit stingray X and actuslly the locking ring is one of the best features. It's literally a half a turn to lock it. Just really nice. Would recommend it to anybody.
