Was once a 20 a day man from the age of around 14, now 22 and decided to quit so i picked up a nicolite and thus have quit for five weeks so far. Ive been reading about different clearomisers? Or atomisers im not sure lol but after seeing what may fit my nicolite battery i decided not to risk it and bought a kit. Now waiting for it to arrive, i want to know if ive made a mistake choosing the kit i have done, only so i can cancel in due time, wasnt looking to spend a bomb so heres what i went with, good choice or could i have done better? Also if you have used this then please post your experiences. Thanks joe

Welcome Joe90,

Also I have no experience with this device. There are many out there and from reading on this forum about 2-3 year ago I decided to go with a Ego which served me well all this time. (smoked 25 years) I heard about e-sigs about 15 years ago but untill 3 years ago I didn't consider them. In my opinion: The main thing with em is that is takes away the urge to grab analog one. Which I did not for me until I increase the nic from 18 to 36. Twice I've gone back to regular tobacco for about a week because I wasn't stocked up on liquid and a spare atomizer. But for the last 18 months I've not been in need for the analog one.
Good luck and stock up to have spare parts.

Good advice there thanks, my only issue so far is understanding the parts. Im quite technically minded so it wont take long but at the moment all this talk of wicks coils and tanks etc im a bit confused as to what will wear out and so on. Ill be reading before i go taking things apart.

One question if you can answer. Say i have the one tank and wick, and i want to change flavour. How can i safely do so without cross contamination of flavours and so on.

Welcome to the forum!

Does it look similiar to this?

You should be able to rinse it out and when the wick is dry, refill. I'm not 100% sure so I'd wait for someone that knows 100%. We do have a UK forum, someone there might also be able to help.

Don't be afraid to ask questions. I had never even seen a pv before I came here. Asked a million questions, ordered and fell in love with vaping.

For a crash course of the commonly used juice delivery devices, check out this picture dictionary:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cartomizers/343294-proper-terminology-carto-tank-what-lol.html#post7562212

A very nice setup that should get you started is here:

Probably more important than the gear you get will be finding a couple of e-liquids that you enjoy vaping all day. It's advisable to order a couple of juice samplers for 2-3 juice vendors to get an idea of flavors that you like. When you find some that you like, order more in a larger bottle. Or, if you have a brick-and-mortar vape shop within driving distance, they generally have an e-juice bar to sample flavors right then and there.

This is what I always do: Not to cartomizers.

1 Rinse with hot water.
2 Stick in rubbing Alcohol for a few hours. Closed container
3 airdry overnight.(6-8hrs) DON't use if you still smell the alcohol.

I do this with all parts, except rubber or battery.
Rubber O-rings I only rinse with hot water.
Battery I clean with a damp paper towel.
Looks like new if you do it every week.

Welcome!
I'm new myself so take this with a grain of salt ;)
A video I found of great help is http:/..................../wordpress/2013/01/02/beginners-guide-to-e-cigs-and-e-cig-tech/ (looks like it won't let me link quite yet ;( )

I'm not too familiar with your setup, but a quick google shows it as an 808 device. Most batteries/apv mods will be designated as 808, 510, and/or ego. This is the threading which will allow it to use different delivery systems (atomizers, cartomizers, clearomizers, tanks, etc..). There are adapters you can use as well.

The serviceability of the delivery system depends on the type you buy. Some are fully assembled/disposable, and some you can break down piece by piece. For the most part, I'd consider this whole piece as consumable and have spares on hand.

Cleaning can be as simple as rinse, soak, and dry, but you'll also find people using vodka, dry-burning, etc.. Also, different flavors may linger longer than others (some may even compromise plastics, so there are metal and glass tanks). I'm in the same boat with you on this. I'm currently looking into direct dripping just to try out flavors.
