Hi I'm new to all of this...it took a lot of reading to even get me to the point of ordering the Joy 510-T (tank). I smoke anywhere from a 1/2 pack to full pack of Marlboro Mediums a day. I'm 30 and have been smoking regularly since I was 15/16, and never quit except when I was pregnant. To be honest I do NOT want to stop smoking but I'm tired of smelling like smoke, the price and they way I'm starting to feel.... I’m actually hoping I'll get what I need from using the E-cigarette that I purchased and the e-liquid with nicotine. I figure if I'm going to continue to smoke it might as well be without all the chemicals from really cigarettes and save myself some money (hopefully too). Has anyone in here been able to replace what he or she were smoking with an E-cigarette and satisfied with it? Also I ordered through "thevapropro" and I super excited to receive my package and I'm hoping they are sending me a genuine Joye 510-T product. I did actually use a coupon code from this site and save over $10 - Thank you and that also made me feel more comfortable ordering through them see this forum have one of their advertisements on this site.
So I'm guessing when I get my package I'll be tortured a little seeing as I'll have to charge the batteries for hours before using the product...right? Does anyone have a 510-T and have any advice for this newbie on what to do first or anything I should watch out for. I'm really going into this kind of blind but with big hopes. The Joye 510-T I ordered came with the following batteries: (1) 280mAH 510-T Automatic Battery & (1) 220mAh 510-T Automatic Battery and it came with the 510-T USB charger & USB adapter to AC/wall outlet. I wasn't sure about getting the Automatic battery think the throat hit might not be as hard. But the other kits came with the regular Joye 510 -180mAH Manual battery but the 510-T charger and since I did NOT have the original Joye 510 I thought it would cost more to have to buy another charge for those batteries on top of everything. So will I have less of a throat hit with the automatic batteries that come in my kit or because they are higher batteries will it not matter? I guess I'll start with these questions since I have received my starting kit yet. I can't wait to get stated.
Thanks,
Andrea

between here and there
Hello and welcome....First off, the kit you ordered is fine....It does come with a charger and for a 510 they should all be the same it is the atty-t and the tank that are different....Originally 510 kits came with attys and carts(filled with polyfill to drip the juice into)....the tank is just a different way to get the same thing.....Most batteries come with some charge in them, so put one on the charger and use the others....when the one on the charger gets done swap em......You may find tho, that you will want a manual battery ...the manuals are sealed so that juice does not get into them plus you have better control on the 'hit'.....Let us know when you have more questions.
congrats.
:)

edit also before using your first atty-t, hold a tissue to battery end and blow the shipping primer out....then wipe it clean and use a q-tip on the inside careful not to push the center part down at all......then put an empty tank on and press to puncture the fill hole, fill then put on and vape.....that shipping primer juice is nasty and you don't want to taste it...yuk

lol

My first PV system was the eGo Mega. But I then bought a 510T kit for my buds to try out. Actually, I like to use the 510T for testing new flavs. It's a very good system other than the short batt duration.

I like to pre-puncture the tanks; takes a lot of pressure off the atty spike. I use a modified dental tool that punches the cap with an undersized hole.

Good luck with your choice and keep us posted as to your impressions!

Sugar_and_Spice - Thank you for responding, and also thank you for the tip on cleaning the primer juice...not big on tasting nasty stuff - LOL!

Heres a few more questions:

Well the Batteries & Charge both say 510-T does that mean they can only be used together or can I also order a regular 510 charge and they work in that? Also you stated that manual batteries make it so you have better control of your hit and that they are sealed.... So it wouldn't be a bad idea to order the manual batteries for the 510-T.....Do you know if they make a Manual 510-T battery or do I need to purchase the original 510 manual batteries & charger then?

Also I know I'm thinking ahead but can you refill the blank cartridges over & over if you are using the same e-liquid? Does it matter if you use a new blank cartridge or one you just used?
Like I said I'm really new at this...heck I'm not even wet yet!

Thanks - Dre

Others will give you info on the 510 battery questions. (I sort of wish I had started with a 510 system, but alas, I did had not found this forum...)

On the refill question: You can definately refill. Those with more discriminating tastes would probably not approve, but I refill with different flavors and like the results. There are lots of good instructional videos on YouTube. I'll bet you like vaping.

Hi Dre, I'm super excited for you! All 510 threading and stuff you got will work with the other 510 compatable units, cartomizers, attys and tanks. The charger will work with manual and automatic batteries so you will not need to buy one just for that change. This will save you some cash in the long run. However that being said, I have heard of chargers dying so having a back up is a great idea.

You can always wash out the carts and reuse them with no problems, but a lot of people just use drip tips instead of the carts.

For me quitting was rough the first few weeks. Your not JUST addicted to nic, the other stuff will pose more of a problem IMHO. I told myself that I was not quitting smoking, but only changing brands, so I never felt that internal struggle of denying myself a cig. For me that helped the most.

Just remember your not alone, we will be here to help you along the way :) Good luck and congrats!
