I'm new to vaping, but would like a better vaporizer.

Welcome @Cracked_Lucidity

Blu use existing technology, they just re-brand it and charge as much money as they can get away with. They have a much more nasty agenda, but I'll not say anything about that just now.

If you look into products made by Kanger (Kangertech), Innokin or Aspire, you will easily find a similar product, maybe an identical one.

You could try a Kanger "evod" clearomiser. Personally, I'd try and find a glass tank instead, such as a Kanger "mini Protank 2".

There are other options as well. Innokin iClear range is good.

I'm looking for a one-stop shop for you, right now. :)

I do rather like this Blu,until the tank starts leaking. is there something roughly equal is size, that leaks less? possibly using my pre-existing battery? everything i have found so far seems to be much bigger than what i am looking for.
Hi and welcome. I never had a problem with the Blu leaking when I used them. Perhaps a faulty tank? Anyway, I am in agreement with djsvapour. There is so much better stuff out there that I bet once you try it you'll be happy to give up Blu and their pricey tanks. Perhaps a simple ego battery and clearomizer. I'm sure others will chime in. In any case, glad your here and you'll find much good information here.

The important question though is what is your battery?

Batteries
usually have two threads on them, a big outer thread and small inner one.
The small one is called 510 and the outer one EGO.

The battery would seem to be 510 from looking at those tanks, And it is the one that comes with the kit that costs roughly 20 dollars and has a tiny little USB charger that you screw that battery onto.

I am not an expert on tiny sized gear any more, but back in the day I had good luck with the Innokin VV series batteries and the Kanger Pro/Aero tanks (an Aerotank is a Protank with the adjustable air flow made on it and not requiring a separate part), and I think the Anyvape Davide series tanks are about as good as it gets for small diameter MTL hits. Welcome to the board.

I don't need it to be the same size as a blu, However i do not want to have something the size of two rolls of nickles glued end-to-end. I just want something small, As i do not use it very long and generally in one spot. So having to refill a small tank or recharge it semi-frequently is not an issue.

You don't need to get 'big'. Your product will have a name and from the name (between us) we should be able to find compatible products.
In the UK, the 'pen' style is called Blu Pro. You refill the tank.
In the UK, it has a 510 fitting, which means life is not easy, as most of the small tanks are eGO fitting.

In that case, take a look at an iStick 40 paired with a Kanger subtank; or a Kanger Subox kit (removable battery); or the Evic VT or VTC kit (one fixed battery, one removable). These are all small in size, not too expensive, and should serve you well being more flexible than your current gear. Other good choices would be the Innokin Coolfire or Disruptor (fixed vs. removable respectively). Sigelei makes their Mini Book, a nice little 40 watt removable battery TC mod. I just bought one for my woman for Christmas, she loves it. In the same class is the Cloupor Mini Plus. Have a look at those.

Was not aware you were from the UK. We don't have the Blu pro in the states, but if we did I probably would have started with that one. Looks like you got some good suggestions. Hope you find what works for you best. :)

If you really like the size of the Blu, I would suggest grabbing a Mistic Bridge tank for it: Bridge for Blu

This is what their kit looks like, but they have Bridge atomizers for Blu, Mark 10, and their own thread/battery.
