probably less nic, interesting idea.
I'm sure it was the precursor to the idea of vaping. It was a step in the right direction (I guess?), but the cigs contained higher levels of CO (which no one has any clue what the long term affects of that is), and actually turned into a pretty serious addiction equivalent to smoking. I would argue that I was tempted to smoke more often and take deeper drags from this. The heat from it is like a mild version of smoking crack on your teeth as it slowly eats away at your teeth (another good reason to get away from it). I'm not sure if the hit to the lungs was as extreme as a standard analog, but I can tell you that if I smoked too many, my chest would be hurting bad the next day. My addiction was up to a minimum of 1 pack per day, and regardless of the original health claims, I was sure these things were going to kill me. I started developing what would seem like an allergy to them. My sinuses would hurt, my ears started feeling like they were plugged all the time, and my head seemed kind of cloudy a lot. It was like having a mild cold that never went away. Luckily, I don't seem to have this affect with vaping.
They still made my car smell, my clothes smell, and everything else, but just quite a bit less than a standard analog, and the smell would go away in about a day or so, unlike an analog (assuming you emptied your car of any of the spent casings).
