Hi all.
I guess i signed up for this forum about 5 years ago when i fist tried to use those crapola vapor King cigs. I used em for a good couple of months and they helped but started hurting my lips from taking drags and i ended up just quitting all together. Then after 6 months of being smoke free I started up again and was recently maintaining a 30 cigarette a day habit! I know that vaping has evolved since the days of boiling old cartomizers and using a drop of juice in the cotton tip so I took a tour of the MANY vape shops around my town, (Portland, Oregon). Holy crap am I sooooo happy I did!
Some shops are pretty rink a dink but here in Portland you can find some top of the line dedicated vape shops. I ended up with an Eleaf Istick and a aspire nautilus clearomizer and some kicking juices and now i'm day two without even a single urge to smoke a single camel!!! ... I am amazed. I think everyone who wants to kick this habit can now and I cannot believe how this industry is now under attack!!!!! I will have a lot to post so heres to post #2 of my fist 5. Say hi lets chat. Im stoked and want to get saturated in this community. Thanks for reading and I look forward to som awesome insight as I have been out of the vape world for far too long. Much love 8):2cool::vapor:

Welcome! And congrats on quitting! :)

I really wish there was a way to let current smokers know how much vaping has evolved and improved since it first arrived. I also assumed it was a crappy, less-effective alternative until I randomly decided to see what the new store was near me, and then my mind was blown. I wish I would have switched years ago!

I just got my iStick the other day, and I'm using it with the Nautilus, too! But the mini Nautilus, not the full sized. Do you have the 5 ml tank on your iStick? And do you find that it's still comfortable to use with a tank that big?

Glad you're enjoying your setup. :) After the first week of switching, everything about smoking disgusted me so much that I know I'll never go back. And to not even have cravings because I'm still getting nicotine is just amazing. :)

Hey MAc!
Yes I am using the 5ml tank and I love it! Paired with a blend of Alice in Vapeland April moon 18mg and Evo whisper 12 mg juice, i'm blowing nice clouds that are delicious and satisfying! I cant believe the difference from my old products, no comparison. Tanks are the way to go to get full nice puffs everytime and not have to worry about refilling. Cheers

Welcome back! Getting off the tobacco is a process most fail at a few times. In over 35yrs of smoking I quit probably about 6 times with a duration of nearly 6months once. I got off smokes and started dipping snuff....yuck spit bottles n cups....I found the right rig for vaping and as soon as I did all tobacco went into the garbage and I never looked back. Nor do I see me looking back every again.

Congrats on stopping!

Welcome ForbiddenArtist!

Yeah, I started with a Volcano Magma cigalike back in 2010 as well. It just seemed a PITA, and lighting a cig was easier....

Fast-forward to February 2014, and I "upgraded" to a Volcano Inferno (because I had no bloody clue there was anything more out there). THEN, I stumbled upon this lovely community and realized there's A LOT more out here. Even in the past year, I've seen so many advances - what was the bee's knees in March and April is now "antiquated technology"

So, even though there's a bit of "fiddling" with filling tanks and wrapping and wicking coils, it's SO MUCH NICER than lighting up that stanky cigarette :D

heck Yes and thanks for all the welcomes. Finding the right rig is the most important part. I simply cannot believe that I have not even had an urge for an actual cigarette since i purchased my "binky" :vapor: I thought for sure I was going to struggle and feel like crap, but I guess my body only wanted the nicotine and is rejoicing that it can now expel all those toxins from smoking so long and heavily. I stopped off on my route today and bought the neck lanyard so I have my binky with me always. I also love that I can vape on the can at work lol  anyhoo I feel fan-frickin-tastic and i cant wait to experience the other flavors out there. I will stick with my main blend for a few weeks as I become acclimated to my new habit but wow just wow Im so happy. I also love the feeling of being able to get a good nic fix just about anywhere, although some people are completely ignorant to the fact that it is harmless and is helping aid someone from a death stick. I remember back in college in 2010 I was puffing on my e cig in the college center and security gave me a hard time. I say forgiveness is easier obtained then permission mostly and after you are warned just go to a private place like a bathroom.
AHHHH FREEDOM!!!! :toast: :vapor:

Very nice! I wasn't sure if the full sized Nautilus would fit on this battery, but you've convinced me to buy one as soon as finances allow. :) I love my mini tanks, but I'm re-filling once a day right now... Would be nice to switch that to every other day. :)

Glad you found such an awesome setup early on. As soon as I got this tank I completely quit smoking. With the first tank I tried, it leaked and spit juice at me so much that I gave up and returned to smoking until I could make it back to the ecig store for the Nautilus mini. I threw out the pack of smokes I still had saved earlier today. I finally feel free from the cancer sticks. :) Wishing you continued success!

Sgobots, I think it's a great set-up for any newbie because it's easy and the mini-nautilus is a great little tank. I love the adjustable airflow and the capacity. I also have some of the mini-Kanger glass tanks and they're pretty good, but not as good as the Nautilus since they do not have adjustable airflow. Personally, since quitting the cigs, I feel like I've been let out of jail.:) If I had known vaping would make quitting so painless and actually enjoyable, I'd have tried it quite awhile ago. My only experience prior had been with the old style cig-a-likes that were absolutely awful, so expected vaping to be similar.....so glad I was wrong.:)
