So I'm really wanting to go with a new mod set up and am conflicted on what to go with. I love my MVP V2 and am going to keep it in rotation, but I'm ready for something new. I'm always looking for that something better. My dilemma is should I go with something like the innokin VTR with an Aspire nautilus tank or go with a mechanical with something like an rda or rta? I would love to go with something like a db modz or hanna modz dna 30 set up, but availability and price is putting that idea on the back burner. Mechanical mods make me a little nervous, but just because I'm not experienced with one yet. Any help would be great!

IMO if you already have an MVP vv/vw device then either your next step is a mech mod or a dna 30 mod. Your MVP can pretty much do everything a DNA 20 can do so its a matter of what you are looking for. If you want to do lower ohms for chasing clouds then definitely get a mech mod and an RBA/RDA. However mech mods and RBAs will require a learning curve for rebuilding. I have both a mech mod with a kayfun lite plus and an svd with a nautilus. I constantly switch back and forth depending on my mood. Hope that helps.

Id say mech, they can take a beating, and if your going to cloud chase pretty much needed as most regulated mods won't fire anything below .8ohms. Rebuilding is easy abd fun once you get the hang of it and the flavor/vapor output is amazing.
Otoh waiting to see all the provari recommendations from people who ignore a price range lol

Go for a mech with a simple dripper or KF. No serious vaper is complete without at least one.

Learn your OHMs law, battery specs and safety. Tons of great YouTube vids for learning to build coils.

They sound a little intimidating at first but once your learn the basics they are a breeze to use and it is hard to not love their ruggedness and simplicity.

BTW if you do go this route with a dripper:

I dont know what juice you vape but you will want to start looking at high VG low nic juices if you have not already.

If you're ready to start building then go with a mech. Even if you don't sub-ohm yet you can use it on the MVP2 at 1.2 and up then go lower and use the mech. I have eGo's, spinner, MVP2's, VTR, a Vamo, Provari, and 3 mech's. I use them all in some form or fashion either with carto tanks or with a build I've made. It's alot of fun once you've learned the safety of battery use and ohm's law. Just ask what ya need to ask!

My advice would be to change the topper you are currently using and get into a Kayfun-style rebuildable tank atomizer. They are simple to build and use, and are convenient to use when out and about, and you won't have to worry about the inconvenience of carrying a juice container with you everywhere like you would with a rebuildable drip atomizer. You can use a Kayfun-style tank on your current MVP2, and can always use it on a mechanical later on.

I'm with Baditude. A Kayfun will taste like a major upgrade, and if you're rebuilding EVOD coils, it'll be easy.

If you want to upgrade your mod and like the DNA30 idea, but not the availability, I have another suggestion. Take a look at the new Joye eVic Supreme. About $150 gets you a 30 watt variable voltage device that will handle atomizers as low as .5 ohms, and it's getting REALLY good reviews and feedback from the people who have gotten one. If you google it, people can't seem to say enough good things about it.

I am kinda a noob, bur I have used both mechs and vv/vw. I absolutely LOVE mechs. I just bought a SSGGTS with a Ithaka. Also bought a Jessy aviator and compass. My advice is to stay away from clones.

You can buy a authentic King mod pretty cheap atm ane those are beasts. Or a Poldiac for $200- cant get much better than that. You can get a chi you for $250, and I have a special authentic atty thats near impossible to find for it I am looking to sell. -this is expensive stuff but well worth it imo. They dont lose there value and if you take care of it, you fan sell it one day.

I know nothing about mechs but I'm liking my VTR very much. Though I dunno the Nautilus fits it. I'm eying an Areotank at the moment. :)

I have a Nautilus, it is amazing. It does fit the Tesla I have, and also all my mechs. Ive heard from a few people that a Kayfun v2/v3.1 is one of the best for people looking to get into rebuildables.

One thing I do know, is that mechs are what you want to use if you are chasing beastly power with great flavor. Some might disagree but that seems to be the concensus of everything Ive read and been told.

But like I said, I am a relative noob when it comes to vaping so take what I say with a grain of salt :)
Good luck.

to ecf. So glad you are here. I have enjoyed my mvp2 also for a good while. I have been vaping for a year now and I didn't think it would get any better but that is before I found the reo. Every juice I make tastes like a fresh new one. The flavors are so good. And it is so nice to have the juice right there waiting on me. There are so many choices and people are so different so I wish you luck and happy vaping no matter what you upgrade too.

The best part about ecf is the wonderful people you meet. ECF is pretty much as addictive (if not more) than nicotine.

Happy vaping.
