Non-smokers may scoff at being smoke-free for 24 hours but I know that most of you can relate to the initial milestone this is. Bear in mind, most of this is waking hours (I didn't sleep much last night. Too much nic?) I have a JOYE510.

Initially, at my husband's request, I vaped outside but kept the windows open. He wasn't able to smell anything and, as an experiment, I blew my vape at him. He still couldn't smell it and agreed to let me vape in the house as long as the kids weren't around. He still doesn't believe they are much better than analogs but wisely keeps it to himself.

This morning, my nose was less stuffed and the apple spice flavor tasted a little better :) My ears are finally clearing from the cold I had weeks ago.

I'm discovering that the biggest thing for me is the TH. The vapor is nice, too, but it doesn't bother me if I don't get much (I used to hold in my smoke until it was nearly gone anyway.)

I'm so happy, guys. This is fantastic. For the first time in my life I'm excitedly counting the hours I've been without analogs!

That's awesome! I'm on my 13th day with no analogss and I'm surprised to find that I don't miss them very much at all. Occasionally I'll have a craving for one but I just vape right through it. My wife still smokes and they don't smell appealing at all any longer. I'd much rather taste vanilla milkshake or butterscotch. Many forum members recommended that I drink more water while trying to make the switch. This has also helped to curb any weight gain. Good luch and keep on vaping.

And the fact that you get improved taste after 8 hours of non smoking (analogs) also doesn't help to curb any weight gains:laugh: so lots of water do help

HA!! Too true! I ordered quite a few samples from Honeyville that I heard many people raving about. Coupled with my slim-fast I'm hoping to curb this side effect ;)

Congratulations! Did you just stop analogs all together and switch to vaping, or do it gradually? I just got my Joye 510 and am thinking of giving myself about a month to slowly taper off the analog use.

I stopped altogether; I had my last analog about 3:30pm and started vaping a little after four. A lot of people here recommend not pressuring yourself to quit altogether- tell yourself you can have an analog whenever you want. I just haven't wanted to ;)

It also helped that I smoked the dirt cheap cigs (read: bottom of the barrel slop) so anything was a step up from there!

Yeah well done Phanie - 24 little hours represent a giant leap when you know you have the tools to help you win such an important battle. Well, it's a bit of an unfair battle really cos with e cigs it has been so easy for me. I don't hanker after analogs. If things get too much (and they do at times) i just take a couple of good chuggs and it all calms down again.

It's beautiful. Your taste will improve (you might still wear them dodgy slacks ...but i didn't mean that taste ....lol). You will re-find strength and energy that you've forgotten you had.

Go Girl.

I remember how stunned I was at the end of my first day with my eGo, when I realized that I hadn't had a cig in over 6 hours. I saw on a sig somewhere (maybe even here at ECF) that said 'Choosing not to smoke is one thing. Forgetting to smoke is another animal entirely'. Vaping made this 30+ year smoker forget to smoke.

Congrats on your victory! It gets even easier as you go!

Don't worry about what someone else did, just do what feels right to you.
About 50% of the people seem to switch immediately, but many others go slowly.

There is no wrong way to do it, and whatever makes you comfortable is probably best.

That would be the signature that Kurt here at ECF has.
I've always loved that signature.
