I'm Sorry

I am not sure if it is okay to even put this here but I wasn't sure where to post it. I want to apologize to anyone that I was supposed to mail something to. Everything will go out in the mail tomorrow. We just learned that my 17 year old niece has a massive brain tumor and that has delayed me so much and I apologize. Her surgery is tomorrow early afternoon and I will be dropping off everyones stuff at the post office on my way to the hospital. Again I want to apologize for the delay but I have been to rattle brained to do anything.

OMG, Mary! My thoughts will be with you and your niece tomorrow. ((((((HUGS)))))) Please let us know how she does in surgery. I have a 17 year old son; I just can't even imagine what you and your family are going through right now.

Thank you Jeanne, the surgery is today at 1pm EST. It is pretty rough because she lived with us on and off up until she got her license and boyfriends and even then she still came over and stayed just not as much. For a long time she called us mommy Mary and Daddy Billy and this was her 2nd home and mamaws was her first (her mom hasn't always been a mom).

What makes it even more scary is that we also have a 17 year old daughter and you can't help but think omg it could so easily be her or even one of our other six kids. She is trying to put on a brave front for everyone else and make jokes like "did you hear i'm so dang smart I had to start growing a second brain" and "Mary if I have to lose all my hair are you gonna curl my wig for me for prom?" It makes you wanna laugh and cry at the same time.

I'm pretty much a total rattle brain today so if the post don't make since i'm sorry but I tend to jump around on subjects when i'm nervous lol.

I didn't want to post something somewhere I wasn't supposed to but I wasn't sure where else to post the shipping delay for all those who have something coming from me to see.

I will try my best to update after surgery.

It is 2nd stage cancer the got all they could see. She is doing great so far, swelling of the brain is already going down. No problems from the surgery she is resting and looks so peaceful for a change.

I don't know you, just browsing. I'm sorry for your (and family's) pain and wish her a speedy recovery. Prayer has incredible power.

My thoughts are with you and your niece. I lost my father 10 years ago to the worst type of brain tumor in the worst possible place. I hate to think of a 17 year old going through what he did. I'm glad to hear she is doing well.

I got a call last night telling me that she was sitting up on bed talking and laughing. She was also eating and having no problems at all at the time. Thank you guys for the support it does mean allot and though she is not out of the woods yet it is looking like she might make a full speedy recovery. This has showed me that what hellcat said is so true......Prayer does have incredible power!

Wow Mary,
That's wonderful news! It sounds like she's on her way back. Recovery is probably a long process. It sounds like she has a great support team though. Still, you must be exhausted. Best wishes to her and all of your family. Keep us posted.
