i can't seem to measure the resistance of any of my attys/cartos with the multimeter i have here (picture attached). when i touch the red probe to the center and the black probe to the threads, it reads as if the probes are touching each other (0 ohms). can't figure what i'm doing wrong. halp! maybe some pictures to show the proper way to do this? or a video? or some links to a video? thanks in advance..

i think i figured it out...this multimeter doesn't offer resistance readings in the range i need. it's one and only resistance setting is 1k ohms, and i probably want a lower range than that, right?

Ya... the atties are in the range of 2.5 to 3.2 ohms. Not 2500 ohms (2.5k).
